How accurate is this for you?
Seriously, lets discuss how accurate this video is now a days. With all these distractions it can be hard to focus on what is important.
Re: How accurate is this for you?
At least he tried, I always went "I go to school to learn, if I wanted to do it myself I'd be home-schooled."

Re: How accurate is this for you?
I get what you mean. I had this college professor that didn't teach us anything. He just had us copy what he typed and expected us to know what it meant or figure it out for ourselves. I hate when teachers/professors tell you to learn stuff on your own (either implied or flat out told too). Especially in college, where I am paying to learn, not for you to tell me to go learn it myself...
Re: How accurate is this for you?
love the video Kudos and cupcakes for the creator
but anyway i can see ya teachers hand out homework, but like its a pain in the butt to work on homework that the teacher doesn't show how to do in class and then the next day doesn't go over it meaning im more lost then before.
basically College teachers (not all of them tho) are to stuck up and don't give a damn about there student, they are more focused on there little projects.
High school and grade school teachers (again not all) actually care and work hard to try and help there students pass and understand what they are learning

Short answer: Close the laptop shut down the PC and put the DS away.
Long answer: The only person that fails you is yourself.

Re: How accurate is this for you?
Yeah, I certainly stepped it up in college. Like I said before, I am paying for college, so I want my monies worth, I screwed around too much in High School. I really worked on my work ethic during my first college year. I just hope this summer break didn't damage it too much xd.TheVoid wrote:This was me in high school. Det, I am glad I never heard of that...
From Wikipedia:
...ugh.... c++....Bioinformatics (Listeni/ˌbaɪoʊˌɪnfərˈmætɪks/) is the application of computer science and information technology to the field of biology and medicine. Bioinformatics deals with algorithms, databases and information systems, web technologies, artificial intelligence and soft computing, information and computation theory, software engineering, data mining, image processing, modeling and simulation, signal processing, discrete mathematics, control and system theory, circuit theory, and statistics, for generating new knowledge of biology and medicine, and improving & discovering new models of computation (e.g. DNA computing, neural computing, evolutionary computing, immuno-computing, swarm-computing, cellular-computing). Java, XML, Perl, C, C++, Python, R, SQL and MatLab are the programming languages popularly used in this field. A bioinformatician needs to have a basic and general sense of the ideas and approaches of science and engineering.[1]

Using technology for the advancement of science! Good luck with that det... good luck... Extensive coding knowledge PLUS the added memorization of Bio related stuff.
Re: How accurate is this for you?
Coding really isnt that hard... but the bio stuff would be hard probably. Ive been coding myself since like 8th grade, even had my own Runescape server for a little while. Coding is honestly pretty easy.vantagesp wrote:Badass_Bunny wrote:The Detonator wrote:Right now this describes 100% this bioinformatics assignment i have due tomorrow...

I know, I am a coder myself, but you can make mistakes in coding. But the stakes are much higher when dealing with Biology, so a simple mistake could mean big trouble.TheVoid wrote:Coding really isnt that hard... but the bio stuff would be hard probably. Re: How accurate is this for you?
I know that very well xD. I remember making one small mistake in my coding, litterally forgot a ; and it crashed my entire server. Its the smallest things that will kill you.vantagesp wrote:I know, I am a coder myself, but you can make mistakes in coding. Re: How accurate is this for you?
Lol yeah, forgetting a semi-colon is bad. My college professors always stressed/stress not to forget these. It happens to the best of us.
