Is This A Valid Chain?
Here is the scenario:
(Turn player) Player A: Special summons Hyperion and activates effect
Player B: Activate Bottomless Trap Hole
Player A: Activates Torrential Tribute to prevent Hyperion from being removed
Is this a legal chain? Can Player A activate Torrential Tribute?

Re: Is This A Valid Chain?
The chain was still activated in response to a summon which means it is valid.
