Fiendish chain vs Inzektors

My opponent activeted Inzektor Dragonfly eff targeting Hornet i chained Fiendish chain,but he msted that..
Why Dragonfly eff isnt negeted?Can somebody explain me,since admin on dn says me that Dragonfly eff wont be negeted..

Continuous Trap needs to be face-up to resolve its effect, so in your situation, Fiendish Chain is destroyed in chain, its effect can't resolve properly, that's all.
