How do cards like 'Advanced Ritual Art' even work?

Like the title says, I'm curious. All ritual monsters specifically say that they must be summoned with a certain spell card, and those replacement rituals like Advanced Ritual Art are not those cards. Wouldn't they be totally unplayable by default? They even say to 'Ritual Summon a card' while the monsters themselves say 'This monster can only be Ritual Summoned with ...'

The text for Advanced Ritual Art has precedence over the text of Ritual Monsters that say they can only be Special Summoned by [x] Ritual Spell.

Stupidity in Konami most likely.
Cards like Advanced Ritual Art work unless the monster says it cannot be summoned by said cards. It's BKSS and nothing more.
