Kuya Aruhato, the main character:



In the world of Duel Monsters, the duel spirit world has come to a war. When the Burst monsters started to appear they brought with them the Devas. The deva's are 6 gods, each reigning over tribes of monsters, that correspond to their attribute, that decided to join forces with them. The Devas amassed a large army and attacked the other Duel Spirits, the war was a long and bloody one. The 8 generals of the Duel Monster worlds had finally pushed the mighty Devas into a corner. The Devas sprang a new plan into action, and in using the soul of a young human boy as a gate they traveled into the human world. When they crossed into our dimension they collided with a meteorite headed towards earth and combined themselves with it. When the meteor hit, it destroyed Meadowlark City almost completely, only the far rim of the city was still somewhat intact.
20 years later, Edo Phoenix ( who suceeded Pegasus J. Crawford ) has passed his empire down to his son, Korin Phoenix , so Korin Phoenix is now the CEO of Industrial Illusions and the Mayor of Phoenix City, the city that rose from the ashes of Meadowlark.
Kuya Aruhato, now 18, is pulled into an adventure he could have never imagined when a suspicious individual walks into the night club where Kuya is employed.

Burst monsters are a whole new summon mechanic, I refined them from D-Burst( my previous horrible attempt at fan fiction) and changed their rules somewhat, I'll clarify in my next update what those changes are.
Duel terminal archetypes will be used by important characters .
Custom cards will make up the majority of the cards used in this fan fiction.

I am looking forward to see how this develops.
