DN down EVERY 6:00 PM until 2:00 AM GMT+11

I'm really annoyed as I come home after school and DN is down just after I start logging on. I have only 1 min to actually log in, then everything freezes and my duel gets cancelled (I've probably lost 10 duels because of this). It says connection lost and reconnecting. I KNOW FOR A FACT it is not a connection issue, I think it might be maintenance or something. If anyone knows something that can help it would be good. The lag is so bad that I cant even PM admins in DN because it does pass on the message to them.

I'm quite sure its not my internet. I notice issues immediately when it turns 6:00 pm down here. No joke, 5:59 it's ok, but one minute later there is just terrible lag. No one except me uses the internet anyway.
I'm not an expert on PCs but 1.6 ghz and 4gb ram sounds reasonable? And I doubt my pc stuffs up on the specific time everyday. Maybe servers are down in America or Australia in that time? Idk but I really wish I could spend more time here, it really is not fair .

Dn works fine (I'm Australian, Black Luster Soldier in Amercian).

I can guarantee that in Australia you should have no issues. Do you have an off peak/on peak arrangement with your ISP? This might be the issue at hand.

You know it's weird every day at 8pm my Internet goes all funky and starts being all unstable ... I have 20+ cable internet so it's weird for me to lag but it jut keeps disconnecting me to the point that I can never finish a duel ... However this is a problem that happens to me... Here's what's weird I contacted my ISP yesterday and they said my modem was too strong and that my speed was too slow for it(I believe they provide like up to 60 ._.) so they increased my speed and it hasn't happened again... I don't know why it happens only at that time and the next day is fine again ... Try contacting your ISP maybe they can help you. Reset your modem/router... Try formatting your browser or even use a different browser ... Clear cache... Try all that, hope it helps... Dn isn't the problem.

Ok thanks I'll contact my ISP tomorrow as it is getting late now and hopefully they will fix the problem. Sorry if I sound negative towards DN I know you guys try your hardest to help, especially when it's free.
I'll let you guys know and hopefully this might help others in the long run.

He lives in australia. So the time he mentioned is when you guys are mostly asleep I'm pretty confident it will be an ISP arrangement of on and off peak of internet speeds or some sort.

Apparently my ISP claims that my internet does not have an on/off peak, and I should try turning my modem on and off occasionally. (this doesn't help though)

Looks fine to me, it's not an internet speed issue.

This is really odd, I don't know what could possibly be causing this. Do you have other computers in your house you could use during difficulty and see if it happens on that too?

Nope it's not a computer problem either. I don't know why, I just am unable to connect on with without getting the connection lost in like 1 minute. Anything else you can help with Mr. Detonator.

Its just very odd to be the same time every night for you especially since you are using optus as a carrier. Optus have a very good service.

Knowing that I can rule out your ISP (Optus) as being an issue.

It would have to be something on your computer causing issues but i cant determine that without having access to your computer, perhaps a virus scan that starts everyday at 6 PM?

I think I may have solved my problem. It was pretty stupid of me not installing an updated version of java for over a year, so I finally got around to it and I am getting amazing speeds. Thanks for all your help (how did you know I ran optus? haha)and if I have any issues I will try and fix them myself before bothering you guys. Thanks again!
Edit: I spoke too soon, it seems even java didn't solve the problem entirely. I'm guessing it is something to do with my location (I live 2 hours away from melbourne). Not sure what else to do but pray a miracle may befall on me.
