Ruling of Ceruli, Guru of Dark World

Hello,

i have a question about Ceruli, Guru of Dark World !
All ppl tell me that he wont get his discard effect if he wasnt discarded by a dw card..

..i dont know if im really stupid but on ceruli there is nothing said about that he must be discarded by a dw card to get his discard effect ..

this is the part of cerulis card text which makes everything complicated:

"When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dark World" card"

i understand it this way, that he ss himself .. and because he is a dw card this part of its card text is solved and the discard effect gets through and it doesnt matter if he was discarded by a dw card or not.. am i mistaken there ?

For reference:
If this card is discarded to the Graveyard by a card effect: Special Summon this card from the Graveyard to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Defense Position. When this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dark World" card: Your opponent must discard 1 card.

When this card is summoned to your opponent's side of the field, your opponent's opponent is you, so you must discard 1 card.

When it says "Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dark World" card", it means by its own effect or anther card that has "Dark World" in it, such as "Gateway to Dark World".

sry for being so annoying but.. only to make that sure for all times .. it doesnt matter if he is discarded by card destruction, morphing jar or dragged down into the grave he gets his discard effect, right ?

But he's right, it's referring to his own effect basically.

Card Destruction and Morphing Jar works with Dark World Monsters, discard him, then he'll special summon himself, and he's a Dark World Monster, so you'll get the effect.

He's asking if you're an official Judge in real life
But the answer is irrelevant, you don't have to be a Judge to know rulings
