Why not. It isn't prevent you to Special Summon it when opponent has no monster. And it will return to hand alone if it is alone on the field.

You can Special summon it without regard to whether or not the opponent has a monster or not.

However, the returning effect that activates during the End Phase of your opponent's next turn only works if there's a face-up monster on the opponent's side of the field; and both are returned.

The only thing I have to say here, Kangtuji is, "I told you so."

This is the reason why he made this thread. I used this card and he thought I couldn't because he didn't have a monster on the field. I told him that Jester Confit being special summoned has no condition and the effect to return 1 monster on the opponent's side of the field activates at his end phase and if there is no monster, then nothing happens. It wasn't even on the field long enough for that.
