Dimensional Alchemist + Timing

My field: Clear.
Opponent's field: One Set Sangan, one set Torrential Tribute.

I normal summon Dimensional Alchemist and maintain priority for his effect and banish D.D. Crow from the top of my deck.
My opponent activates Torrential Tribute.

Does Dimensional Alchemist miss timing to grab D.D. Crow to my hand?

Dimensional Alchemist's effect and Sangan's effect will form a Chain here, no missing the timing at all.

Well, 2 things here
If you already banished D.D. Crow, Torrential cannot be activated
If Torrential is chained to Dimensional Alchemist's effect, it will miss the timing as it is destroyed at chain link 2

Player A: Summon monster, activate effect
Player B: Activate Torrential

Chain forms:
1) Alchemist effect
2) Torrential

Resolution:
1) Torrential destroys all monsters. Dimensional Alchemist is destroyed.
2) Dimensional Alchemist banishes the top card.

The last thing to happen was not the destruction of Dimensional Alchemist but the resolution of its effect; therefore, it will miss the timing.

Aaaaaah. I got it now. Alchemist's EFFECT becomes CL1.
