Magical Merchant in Fableds

I do know that some people running Fabled decks use Magical Merchant, but the thing that confuses me, is when you use its effect, do the fabled monsters that have discard effects still get their effects when sent to the graveyard??

Magical Merchant "sends" cards to the Graveyard from the Deck. It does not Discard them.

People like magic merchant with fabled cause stuff like Kushano can activate from the grave and discard, which generates deck thin and field advantage.
