You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Hieroglyph" monster you control. Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 "Hieroglyph" monster you control or in your hand, except this card, to target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it. When this card is Tributed: Target 1 Dragon-Type Normal Monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard and Special Summon it, but its ATK and DEF become 0.

So I take it this archetype cant do anything without that level 8 normal monster they have but yet at the same time there is a good chance for this archetype to be broken and its a dragon archetype... woot.

Actually, you'd be surprised to see that you can not run the Level 8 Vanilla monster and run the Level 6 and 5 Vanilla Dragons for the sake of Xyz Summoning.
Like Summon this Tributing a Hieroglyph, then Summon Luster Dragon #2 to make that Rank 6 Xyz monster.
They can easily do without the Level 8 Vanilla.

Edit: Just realized this is Level 5. Well, Summon Curse of Dragon instead and make Tiras or Volcasaurus.
