"XYZ Effect" (Trap card) How it works?
How the trap card "XYZ EFFECT" works? I active it before XYZ Summon and i can destroy 1 card every time I XYZ summon (Like "Chain Material")... or... I active it after XYZ Summon and destroy 1 card only?
When you Xyz Summon a monster: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it.

When you Xyz Summon you can activate this and use the effect. Only a 1 use.

But it is weird...
If i active the trap card after XYZ summon, the codition "When you Xyz Summon a monster..." happened before the card activation... How i can use the effect if the codition was before the card activation?

This isn't a SEGOC moment though.kangtuji wrote:You must be new here™, its called "chaining"

You activate this WHEN the monster is Xyz Summoned, which you seem to view it as immediately after. It's a response window. When a monster is Xyz Summoned, you activate this in response to the summoned.
It's the exact same situation as T.G. Hyper Librarian.

Rulebook page 45
Actions which cannot be Chained to
You can only create a Chain by responding to the activation of a card or effect. Summoning a monster, Tributing, changing a monster’s Battle Position and paying costs are not effect activations and therefore you cannot respond to those actions using a Chain.

Oh ok....
I found a card with a effect like this "Damage_Vaccine_Ω_MAX"
When you take damage by battle or by a card effect: Gain Life Points equal to the damage you took.

The key words are "Using a Chain"
Otherwise with your logic Bottomless Trap Hole doesn't work.

It's the same thing as Bottomless Trap Hole as it's activated after the summon is succesful.

Bottomless is used in response of the summon, not in chain...
And the card "Bottomless Trap Hole" say exactly the moment to active it and what to do:
"Activate only when your opponent Summons a monster(s) with 1500 or more ATK. Destroy and remove from play the monster(s)"
"XYZ Effect" don't say:
"Active only when you XYZ Summon a monster: Target and destroy 1 card on the field"
The text only have the condition to destroy a card on the field, not the activation moment.
But it is all ok... question solved

a chain is a chain, if an effect activated in some respond window, then it it started a chain.
ps: trap hole didn't share bottomless wording either.
