Add a match mode.

As anyone who regularly attends tournaments will tell you the real skill in the game is how you use your side deck after the first round to help you against your worst match ups and ensure victories against commonly played cards.

On DN however the ranked section gives points for single wins and let's you bail the duel so nobody can side against you. This warps the meta since decks like Dark World are great at single duels but flop in tournaments since everyone sides macro or shadow imprisoning mirrors. That's pretty much the same for all decks since every tier 1 deck in the game has a few tech card weaknesses which can cripple them.

As it is there is no way to force another player into a full three round duel as they can ignore your duel note and leave but since they're already gone the mods can't do anything to help.

I propose a match mode where points aren't distibuted until the end of the three games or until a player quits. Just something to bring the competitive aspect of this game up to true tournament standards.

Forced match options will be something planned for a future release, do not expect it too soon however since the rating system needs to be changed in order to distribute fairly in certain situations.

not sure if this correct or not, in unrated, if you offer draw after a game, (for the 3rd round, so it forced to play RPS to fair chance who goes first in 3rd round)

But when you lose, you lose a rank.

Not true, since Me and my Bro already won Tournaments using Dark World, since their side deck can also be countered by another side deck, just a reply from dedicated Dark World Players.

But I do agree in regards to the Match System,

now in regards to Ranks...best leave it to the Mods and BLS, This will be a very messy one, and im sure players who played countless hours will have something to say,

but for me go ahead and reset the Ranks...Im waiting patiently for this Match System before I play Ranked Duels

When match was released there was a note hinting at there will be plans to make a match only option.

I'm looking forward to this.

A match only option could be cool, as long as it doesn't take away from normal 1 round duels.

I came to this forum to suggest the same thing and gladly i found this topic and i give this idea my full support.The side deck exists for a reason

I do remember Dueling Network reseting Rankings when a new banlist shows up, just like what happenned last September,

im guessing Rankings will reset also soon once March 1 begins

The Ratings are gotta be reset at March.
