You can also Xyz Summon this card by using 1 face-up Rank 5 or 6 Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials of this card.) If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent.

Yay more Chaos Xyz Change monsters! And another addition to the Gaia Knight family!

It's like Gem-Knight Pearl in that it doesn't use any of its Xyz materials meaning it's good with Blue-Blooded Oni, Xyz Energy, Xyz Gift, Oni-Gami Combo and Utopian Aura. It's also like Verz Ophion in that it has an effect that doesn't require materials. Kind of a meh effect though.

One use would be to use Enemy Controller or Mind Control on your opponent's Rank 5 or 6 Xyz then summon this card.

Come on Konami you have a Gaia Knight for every Monster type except Rituals! Make a Ritual Gaia Knight!

It's not good enough for it's summoning requirements. Piercing isn't all that useful and there are a bunch of effects more versatile than this card amongst rank 5/6 XYZ.

Oh look,my tiras/volcasaurus/adreus/zenmaioh/pleidas ran out of materials and became a normal monster.

Ill just overlay him for the 2600 monster with piercing damage.

Pretty much it's only use,and it's kind of gimmicky.

Well, that is one use, but most of the time those monster won't last on the field long enough for them to become useless. This is a card you'll only use if you have the space for it.

Activate 3 Galaxy Wave before the first Xyz summon for 4500 damage.

If they do what they did with Gaia Knight Force of the Earth then we should be seeing a Xyz Fusion including a Gaia Knight in the future.

So I guess Gaia the Fierce Knight has two fates:
-> Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight -> Gaia Knight Force of the Earth -> Gaia Drake the Universal Force
-> Gaia The Dragon Champion -> Swift Lightning Knight Gaia Traguno -> ???

Konami should milk nostalgia even further and make a series of Water Gaia Knights riding on Sea Serphants... or FROGS!

Posted that in the OP. Not sure which one of us ninja'd the other first but whatever great idea to both of us!

All this just for a piercing effect. I think I will pass on this card. It pulls off a neat trick on a different way to summon it but don't see a spot for it with an already tight extra deck. It just doesn't make the cut for me.

if this could be summoned on top of ANY xyz, or atleast rank 4 and up, it would be playable. as it is, rank 5 and 6 already have good attack so they don't need need this card.
and let's be honest, it would be funny to summon lavalval chain or daigusto emerald, use their eff, and then summon this out. or better yet, black corn to deal burn damage, then summon this so you can still attack ^_^

It may be interesting if you have a spot left in the extra.

It's advantage isn't the piercing effect (which is trahs btw), but the ability to turn a stole (preferably)/used-up XYZ monster into this.

It's not that good, but maybe a nice tech in decks that can get out Rank 5 / 6 ? Or it may not...

Just a tech not a staple though, kind of a meh card.

The good points of this card are to overlay a monster with no materials, a monster that gets a negative effect after using its effect, or just to make summoning xyzs from grave and galaxy wave useful.

The best uses i can think for this card are running in a galaxy wave xyz burn deck, or to use atum, the holy marked dragon emperor effect and overlay it so you can still attack. Attack with piercing damage. You can also summon this with redmd effect, but you will probably have a better target for it. Xyz Territory can work with this once it gets 4000 atk piercing damage plus it can protect the field. This card can make xyz burst be used in level 5 decks, and it has synergy with oni-gami and xyz gift.

Hey, did anybody notice the chaos xyz effect is a reference to gaia the force of earth and curse of dragon, and its rank is based in the rest of the gaia cards, except the gaia drake?

i do this with volcasaurus so i can att direct

in my wind up deck i use volcasaur and zenmaio that run out of materials in 2 turn, the problem is that i have no space left for this card

Burn with Volcasaurus and summon this for a direct attack

Hump a Spirit Reaper to death after using Oni-Game Combo and 3x Galaxy Wave.

One of the best ways to Summon this is to Overlay over that Hieroglyph Xyz that Summons Dragons from the Deck but its ATK/DEF become 0, so it's like you didn't lose an attack, along with gaining Piercing.
