  • Being level 3 now more benefitting in XYZ era
  • Rock.... dunno... not much rock support
  • EARTH.... well...
  • 600 atk.... can not debris-able, sangan-able.... but not tour-guidable
    well, even special summon, its need book of moon.... so this monster mostly will ate normal summon, make it not good.
  • 500 def...


Assuming this is unlimited card.... having 3 jar.... meaning I have take out 3 slots from current deck

I really like this. The being unable to set the same turn hurts a lot, though.

I don't really think they are legit archetypes per se, though. I wish they really did make them into archetypes, though. I'd love to rock jars.

Armed ninja is one of the first 5 effect monsters in the game.

So i guess ninjas win the ancestor contest,they even have more cards than jars.

The "cannot set" thing ruins the strategy of Heavy Slumping your opponent after using this, so uh. Not sure if want. Well, it works with all those Spells/Traps which have an effect after they get destroyed (while face-down)! Might be an idea to look into a combo for that.

Please be aware double posting is NOT allowed.

Absorbing Jar will see play. Whether it is in some weird empty jar deck or a side deck. It will see play.

I doubt it. This card's effect would basically be unrepeatable the turn it's used, or at least in terms of card drawing.

In terms of side-decking I'm pretty sure it's more likely that players would rather bust up backrows without the opponent gaining replacement cards, even if the user of Absorb Jar would be gaining pluses of some kind.

Someone will find a way, trust me. The card is interesting enough for someone to try and break it. You do bring up a good point however; and I agree, cards like Grenkappa do a much better and more consistent job. Kappa auto destroys to set face-downs and can be deadly during the DS where most cards can't be chained to it's effect. Kappa doesn't see much play anymore though due to MST + Heavy so that may be a moot point. I would say he is good against trap heavy decks, but Decree does a much better job.

I doubt it will be abused badly. Being unable to set cards really harms the play of it. If that part were applied to your opponent as well, then I could see more use of it.

Unlike most cards which have a condition that prevent things, that part about not setting is a part of the effect, not a condition.

This means you can't set cards -after- you flip it, but you can anytime before.

If that is the true effect, this card won't likely see much play, if any.

New cards have gotten limited before. Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys was limited before it was even printed.

I was mainly thinking what someone else said where this card would be better destroying traps that activate when destroyed f/d like dark coffin. I would also have fun using this with anti spell fragrance Very Happy

I'm liking this card but the effects wording needs to be confirmed or something. Someone made a mistake here.

Dueling Network = Destroy all Set Spell/Trap Cards on the field. The controller(s) of the destroyed cards draw 1 card for each of their cards destroyed by this effect. You cannot Set cards during this turn.

Yugioh-wiki = Destroy all Set Spell and Trap Cards on the field. Then, each player draws cards equal to the number of their cards destroyed by this effect. This turn, you cannot Set cards.

The problem is the word "then". Lets say I have geartown set on my side of the field. DN's absorb jars effects happen simultaneously. Destroy all set s/t. Draw cards. Meaning if absorb jar is flipped and destroys geartown you will get its effect.

Wikis effect says otherwise though. It says "Destroy all set s/t and THEN draw cards. In this case geartown would miss its timing. So which is it? That's a pretty important word to leave out.

Also I love using this with at least 1 wild tornado on my side of the field.
