GISHKIS! Empty GISHKIS!

Post  Kshroom 2012-02-17, 01:38

Are they viable/fun to play?

The cards are pretty pretty cheap and I'll be the only one at my locals who'll play it.

Thanks for the help guys.

I have a Gishki deck, and it's tested pretty well on DN, even without an extra deck. Unfortunately, I can't give you the original one that's current TCG, but if you want, you can PM me some time for the current list.

Will i be able to get most of what i need from buying Hidden arsenal 5?

I have a fetish for opening packs.

Don't worry, you will. Although, to save money, I'd suggest getting together with friends to build separate archetype decks by splitting the cost amongst yourselves. For example, me and two of my friends each paid $25 for a HA05 box so we could build Gishki, Laval, and I built Steelswarm. We gave the Gem-Knight stuff to my brother and dispersed Gusto/Vylons evenly. But yes, buying a box is the best direction to go. But do it with friends.

I like to keep my yugioh life and social life separate, I have one friend who plays NTG but hes a dick.

Also ive noticed there are a TON of useful gishki cards on DN like vision gishki and evigishki Dustkrake, but for some reason i cant seem to find them on troll and toad. any idea why?

Well, DN uses all cards that have been released, EVER. Be it in the OCG and TCG. A lot of the useful Gishkis you see are in fact still part of the OCG. If you want to build a realistic Gishki deck on DN, I'd suggest looking at the set-lists for HA05/HA06 and making a list of what support you can use.

Also, I understand your issue with sharing your love of yugioh with your peers. I have the same issue. Only a select few of my friends know, and that's only because they like it to some degree as well. What you should do is find friends at your locals to go along with the box-buying plan. It's an awesome plan, because you can get all/most of the cards you need for a deck for very little money. In total, my Steelswarm deck was about $50 after everything was said and done. And with it I usually get 2/4 wins every week at my locals' advanced tier. Although right now I'm using Karakuri (which is way faster).

When Zeal Gigas comes out, you will see how nasty Gishki can be.

very good deck type.

the only gishkis i would use are
shadow, beast, vision, abyss (all at 3x)

dont use ariel, chain, marker

deep sea diva is mandatory at 3

use salvage(s).

i also splash in manju 10000 and preparation of rites

as for the rituals themselves. use more than 6 but lower than 10. i like gustrake at 3 and augus at 3 as they can be used for each other.

3x aquamirror is all u need for ritual spells
