Masked Beast Des Gardius
First I wanna mention the rulings on this. The TCG and OCG rulings contradict each other, TCG stating that Des Gardius is a Nomi monster while OCG states its a Semi-Nomi. Can be abused in OCG format
But let's discuss more on this card. Despite needing Tributes, it's counted as a Special Summon. Can combo pretty well with both legal Virus cards, since his effect is mandatory and thus does not miss the timing. Just note that the Mask of Remnants only switches control of a face-up monster, and if you have a monster and your opponent doesn't after the destruction of the Masked Beast, you must equip the Mask of Remnants on your monster, which gives your opponent control of it.
A fun card to use, IMO.

Why use rescue bunny for Laggia when you can use it to provide the requirements for THIS guy.
This guy is awesome for its 3300 ATK and its Mask of remnats.
Opponent: My Five headed dragon destroys your Gardius!
You: Well know, I like that monster, let me use mask of remnants and make it my own!
Opponent: !!!

Re: Masked Beast Des Gardius
You don't always have to wait for your opponent to destroy it. The effect states if its sent from the field to the graveyard; it does not specify what caused it to. So it can go like this:
Opponent: I have a five headed dragon, what you going to do now?
You: I'll use rescue rabbit, summon 2 melchids, tribute them for Gardius, tribute him for advance draw and draw 2 card, THEN I'll use Mask of remnnats to make that monster mine!
Opponent: !!!
...or better yet, synchro summon with Des Gardius. Its so fun.
The only bad thing is because of MST these days, Mask of remnants might not last long, so you can't take advantage of it.

MST won't be around all the time....
Really fun card, not too competitive but it's fun enough to build a deck around.

thats a better way to use your head to obtain his effect +1 to you
its strange that nobody said to use this card for an xyz summon, maybe because he cant obtain his effect?
level eater is perfect to this card, so bad that bulb is gonna go out soon

Re: Masked Beast Des Gardius
I wanna make a deck that drops Des Gardius with Rabbit's help.
Also, I guess I threw in a hypothetical situation for a good use for MBDG, like Galkin has been doing.
Me: Tributing two Tiki Elders for Des Gardius.
Opponent: Ok.
Me: Activating face-down Deck Devastation Virus by tributing Des Gardius. All monsters you draw for 3 turns that have 1500 or less ATK are sent to the grave.
Opponent: Ugh. What can be worse?
Me: Oh, yeah. Des Gardius is in the grave now. Btw, that Leviathan Dragon looks good.

Re: Masked Beast Des Gardius
the problem is that this format is heavy on spell/trap destroying, so the mask of des gardius wont stand too long u.u
