Honest's Return Effect Empty Honest's Return Effect

Post  BlackwoodCompany 2012-02-25, 23:00

In my actual dueling experiences, I thought that you could summon Honest on your first main phase, conduct battle with it, and finally on the second main phase return it to your hand.

I have done that with no problem, but in a duel that I had on Dueling Network tonight, someone told me that I could not do that. silent He told me that I had to wait on my next turn. I looked at the Wikia on this and there was nothing.

Am I correct or was my opponent and where is the ruling for this anyway? Idea

You were right. There doesn't even need to be a ruling for it, there's nothing in the card text that states Honest cannot return to the hand via its own effect if it had battled that turn.

People need to start actually paying attention to those things on cards. What're they called again? Words?

You seem to be implying they're even reading the cards in the first place.

How silly.

I see Laggia vs Flip Summons a lot, and neither side has a problem with it when it DOES negate it.

They never read the card, they always think that Laggia is a Spell Speed 2 Solemn Judgment, so they assume it can negate Flip Summon, although it actually can't.
