How to use: Deck Constructor & Duel Rooms

Okay here is a step by step tutorial:


1. Go to: http://www.duelingnetwork.com/
-wait for the animation to end or press "skip intro"

2. Sign up
-If you have already signed up, just log in.

3. Click "Duel" to go to the main menu

4. You should now see 7 options. Click "Deck Constructor" to go to the Deck Construction menu.

5. You are now in the deck construction menu. This is the place where you build your decks. Here is what a finished deck looks like.

-Use this as a reference
6. Click new deck in the bottom left corner to build a new deck.

-This screen should pop up. Enter the deck name and click "OK".
-You should now see this screen. It is an empty deck.

7.Use the search functions on the left to find the cards you want to use.

-You can set search restrictions or directly search for cards by their full name or part of their name. You can also search by what words appear in their effect/description text.
8. If any cards fit your search restrictions, the results should be found in the bottom right corner.

-To add this card to your deck you can drag it into the blue portion of the in deck constructor. Cards you want in your extra deck go in the red section, cards you want in the side go in the green.
-Build your deck with the desired cards, then click "Save Deck".
-You can also set it as you default deck by clicking "Set as default".
-Click "Exit" to go back to the main menu.
9. You should now be back in the main menu. Click "Duel Room"

10. You should now be in the duel room.

-I have edited out the names of several users for confidentiality reasons. Where you see an edited out spot, there should be names of duelists and their duel note.
-In the bottom left corner you will see a deck select menu. You default deck shows up automatically. Click the drop down menu to switch deck before a duel.

11. In order to duel you have to do one of two things:
A. Host your own duel
B. Find a Host

A. Host A Duel.

-This is the menu for hosting a duel.
You can select Rated, for a rated duel, Unrated for a fun duel that doesn't affect your rating, and Traditional (you can use banned cards) for an unrated fun duel.
-You may also notice "Duel Note" and "Duel Password".

Duel Note: This note will show up on under your name in the appropriate menu in the upper portion of the screen.

-I put "Duel Note" as my duel note. Use this to tell people that you are "Testing a deck", "No Sams, GBS,etc." "TCG Only" stuff like that. If they don't abide by your duel note, you can contact a staff member.

Duel Password: This is to set up private duels. You can set a password, give it to a friend and they are the only ones you can duel you (or anyone else with the password).

-You should see a key. This signifies that it is a private duel.
-Also, notice I didn't put a duel not? Duel Notes are optional.

After you put it out there that you want a duel people should start accepting the duel. You will start to see members names showing up in the menu in the bottom right corner.

-Again, the name is whited out for confidentially reasons.

To accept a user: Click their name, and click "Accept User"
To reject a user: Click their name, and click "Reject User"
To Stop Hosting: Click "Cancel Duel"

If you accepted a user a duel should now commence.

B. Find a host
-Look in the above menus (Blue/Green/red)
Blue:rated
Green:Unrated
Red:Traditional Unrated

-Find the type of duel you want (rated/unrated) and find a user in the respective menu.
-Click on the user you want to duel. If they accept you a duel will commence, if not, find another duelist.
-If you see a key, you need a password to duel them.
-Please read the duel notes, if they say "No Sams!" don't duel them with Sams, you will only cause problems.

When a duel starts you will play a game of Rock/Paper/Scissors.

If you win, you get the choice of First or Second. If you lose, they chose.

Now just duel like you regularly would. Except, instead of talking use the chat function on the right to communicate with your opponent.

-To play/activate cards click on them and follow the appropriate actions.
