- 1-normal monsters are monsters without effects, they were reject all this time because the most of them are useless but not more!

- 2- they have a lot of supports:
A- White Elephant bone: sacrifice a non-effect monster in your field to draw 2 cards, saying that you can sacrifice a normal monster or a token, very useful.
B- Common Soul: like allure of darkness, but this is a trap, its better than white elephant bone, more draw power to normal monsters.
C- Ancient Rules: this card can let you special summon a lvl 5 or higher normal monster from your hand, useful but is many times a dead draw.
D- Rescue Rabbit: the most useful support for normal monsters, you can special summon 2 equal normal monsters from your deck, this card can let you a one turn xyz summon, broken.
E- Exchanting Fitting Room: good card, you can run in luck to special summon monsters from your deck in a 4 cards draw, i used this card and i always summon at least 1 monster, never a dead draw unless you have 800 or lower life points.
F- Justi Breaker: more powerful than mirror force, this card destroys all non normal monsters in attack position on the field, you can eliminate all the opponets monsters in one hit, also facedown monsters, broken.
G- Order To Smash: sacrificing a level 2 or lower normal monster to destroy 2 M/T cards on the field, with this you can eliminate the opponent defenses or strategy support cards.
H- Heart Of The Underdog: i dont recommend this card, in today decks you cant asegurate to draw a normal monster from the deck having support cards for your strategy, recommend this card to exodia decks maybe.
I- Orichalcos Shunoros, this card is special summon when one of your normal monster is destroyed, having this card a bonus of attack for each monster your opponent control and protecting level 4 or lower normal monsters from being destroyed by effects, not very recommended.
J- Faustian Bargain: good card, this card lets you destroy an opponent special summoned monster and let you special summon one normal monster from you, this card gives you destroy and summon power.
K- Natural Tune: this card allows you to transform a level 4 or lower normal monster into a tuner, adding you tuner power for synchro summoning, useful for a deck but maybe a dead draw.
L- Birthright: allows you to special summon a normal monster from your graveyard with no restriction, useful.
M- Cry Javoc!: very useful card, this card allows you to summon and extra normal monster from your hand
N- Ruler Penetrating Gaze: with a high level normal monster you can cancel every activation exept effects, very good but needs a level 7 or higher normal monster.
Ñ- Dark factory of Mass Production: allows you to recover 2 normal monsters from your graveyard, useful but is eventually a normal draw.
O- Skill Drain: normal monsters has not effect, so they are not affect by this card.

- 3- You can run a:
A- Ojama Deck: using ojama blue to search for ojama monster or ojama support cards, ojama country and ojama red for special summon ojamas from your grave. You can use debris dragon and junk synchron for synchro summoning. And the most important card in the deck: ojama delta hurricane! with this you can nuke your opponents field, broken.
B- Heros Deck: you have 5 normal heros and alius that is a gemini, you can use oversoul to special summon them from the grave, you can use rescue rabbit to special summon 2 heros from the same name from your deck, use hero mask and you can fusion summon using polymerization or fusion gate.
C- Synchro Xyz Deck: run rescue rabbit,special summon a pair of lvl 3 monsters for special summon Levaiair The Sea Dragon for special summon rescue rabbit from out of game, use the effect again, you can special summon another pair of level 3 to do the same thing, you can use natural tune for synchro summoning, i run this deck and its good, but i dont think that they can fight against meta.
D- skill drain deck: activate skill drain, run a lord of D, and use dragon flute for special summon powerful normal dragons, this deck is low on draw power i dont recommend this.

- 4- they has a lot of support cards for easy special summon and protecting them from effect, they has no effects so they are dependant on their supports cards.
they are deppendant of their atk/def points, so the cards more recommended are higher points cards or specific level cards for synchro or xyz summoning.

- 5- yes you can, the only cards that cannot support them are the ones that affect the deck, because the gemini monsters are only considered normal monsters in your hand, field(without re-summon) and graveyard

Or swing? I suppose Swing isn't all that useful, but you can get a free tribute off your card without taking up a Spell/trap card space all the time.
Admittedly, there's also Dust barrier, but it's not all that great.
I'd go on with other cards too, but they just relate to level 2 normal monsters (Which probably go great with Ojamas, but I could be wrong. I dunno.)

Swing of Memories is nice if you want to run a Vanilla Synchro deck but Enchanting Fitting Room takes the cake since you can summon as much as 4 cards in one turn for easy synchros.

What about symbols of duty? Send a weaker Normal Monster from the grave for a stronger one, replace a non-tuner with a tuner, or even get the level you need for an Xyz.

I realize that level 3s or lower may be good for a synchro deck, but for a pure normal monster deck, it's not all that great since there's barely any good level 3 or lower normal beatstick/defender monsters (except flamvell guard.)

I tried running a vanilla synchro deck once and it was alright, it's nowhere near T1 but it's a fun deck nonetheless. Just to note, you can't use a token for White Elephant's Gift because tokens cannot be sent to the Graveyard... other than that, decent article, kinda hard to read though.

Slight correction on the main post by the way. Gemini monsters are also treated as effect monsters while in the hand (else Heart of the Underdog Gemini would be a beast).

Are spell/trap/token/synchro/fusion/xyz that has no effect also considered as Normal monster ? Metal Reflect Slime for example.

No, Only the yellow Monster cards are considered to be Normal Monsters, The examples you gave are just 'Non-Effect' monsters.

You sure? How about if i told you I could run over Quasar with LV2 monsters? And I mean real 4000 ATK Quasar, heck I could even inflict 3400 damage with it
