Solved Gusto Gulldo

Post  shnipes 2011-07-28, 03:31

My question is fairly simple, if i use poly on gusto gulldo to fusion summon, when he is sent to the gaveyard do i miss the timing, or can i summon the fusion monster as well as the gusto monster that the card normally allows me to?

text of Gulldo
When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower "Gusto" monster from your Deck.

Gulldo goes to the graveyard and then the fusion monster is summoned. Since Gulldo going to the graveyard isn't the last thing to happen it misses the timing.

Cards that say "when" this happens, have to be the last thing to happen in order to get their effects. Cards that say "if" or "after" something happens, don't miss the timing. Their effects activate after the current chain is finished resolving.

Cards that says, "When ..., you can ...." will miss the timing.
Cards that simply says "When" will not miss the timing because it's not an optional effect

That's what I meant. Guess it wasn't as clear as I had hoped.

Your welcome.

Yeah, for the same reason he misses the timing for a fusion summon.
