Need help with a ruling

This happened in a real life game.

My friend summons Gravekeeper's visionary.
I activate bottomless trap hole.
Gravekeeper's visionary effect: If this card is would be destroyed, you can discard one gravekeeper's monster instead.
Gravekeeper's effect can't activate until bottomless has fully resolved, since it removes it from play.
Am I correct in saying this?

visionary is a spell speed two effect so it can be activated in response to bottomless

Yes Vissionary works the same way as would Stardust vs Bottomless Trap Hole, it can activate it's eff in response to BTH and stop itself from being destroyed and removed...

Incorrect. That is Continuous Effect. It never actives. It applies when BTH resolves.

You are incorrect too. When it would be destroyed BTH, it effect is apllied and BTH cannot destroy it. Then BTH cannot banish it too. It just like Red Nova Dragon.

ahhhh ok i see now, i have no idea how i couldn't come to that conclusion when that happened during the game, i probably just had a complete mental blank...

So Visionary is ignition / trigger or continuous effect ?

I am starting get confuse now

All effects of Visionary is continuous. The effect that stop itself to be destroyed is like the old Six Samurai.
