Question on Gear Factory

I was building an anchient gear deck and fount this field spell card called Anchient Gear Factory. It says that I can summon monsters with 1 less tribute summon than neccessary when its active. Does this mean that I can summon a 5-6 star monster without tributing anything?

I believe you meant Geartown and not Ancient Gear Factory. And yes, it allows you to Normal Summon ancient gear monsters with 1 less tribute. So a Level 5 or 6 that would normally require 1 tribute can be summoned with no tributes, while a level 7 or higher that would normally require 2 tributes will only need 1 tribute to Tribute Summon Note that using Geartown's effect is optional, if you still want to tribute a monster (example monster you stole from your opponent) when you're trying to summon Ancient Gear Beast, you are allowed to do so.
