Can chaos sorcorer using effect after declaring attack ?

Oh in the end he didn't show his deck, and quit after I asking for rematch

no its like useing card from the sky AFTER you special summoned this turn

it makes sence his way, the fusion caused a replay, so its like the attack never happened, i think he can remove

yea now that i look at log and think about it yea they can remove

If Chaos Sorcerer had declared an attack this turn, you can't activate its effect.

If "Chaos Sorcerer" attacks and a replay occurs, and you decide not to attack again with "Chaos Sorcerer", you cannot activate "Chaos Sorcerer"'s effect in Main Phase 2.

thats under previously official rulings, which leads me to believe that its no longer true? i dont know

so hears the deal, a replay rewinds to the point after the attack declaration and before the target is selected, so even if you chose not to attack AFTER a replay, the monster is still concidered to have attacked

When a replay battles happen, the monster that get the replay already declared the attack. The only thing you get from a replay is the option to stop the attack or redirect the attack.

Wrong and wrong.

The attack never happen, but the "attack declaration" does.

Just because a ruling is "previously official" doesn't mean it is automatically false. It was just ruled during the UDE times of Yu-Gi-Oh. Many of them still hold true.

Also... once effect being activated, it cann't be turned off right ? Since its not illegal activation, and having a legal target.

I often encounter this, unlike the mistakes that card being played / active but doesn't' have target (illegal), this kind of mistake have legal target....


Should I push it that they've remove their own monster ? or just let it slide...

What should to do ?

Not really want to be rulesharking, but its their mistakes... should I play blind ? but then i'll keep me to disavantages

For the situation you show, Sorcerer's controller will have to banish his own monster because he's already activated the effect.

why kangtuji thinks he gets to pick the target instead of chaos sorcerer controller ?

on that screenshot shows kang choosing the target for the effect (hes telling him to remove armory arm when he can choose to remove chaos sorcerer)

Because Lady Heat has already been equipped with Safe Zone, and Chaos Sorcerer cannot target Lady Heat.

But yea that's more of being a ruleshark Kang.

Probably didn't realize Chaos Sorcerer can remove itself, or thought his opponent would find it more logical to not remove Chaos Sorcerer.

When people screw up their own moves they deserve to be rule sharked.

But if Safe Zone was chained to Chaos Sorcerer effect then wouldn't it just resolve without any effect?

if safe zone is chained to sorcerer effect

sorcerer effect will resolve because the safe zone prevents targeting

it doesnt negate targeting effect and targets are chosen at activation not resolution

obviously not chained cause it's in def

So even chaos sorc / BLS alone in their field they still can remove. I Forgot that they can target themself
