Light And Darkness Dragon vs. Totem Dragon

Okay. I saw this situation in a duel and surprisingly, I can't find a ruling on this particular situation.

Player 1 has Light And Darkness Dragon on the field.

Player 2 is trying to use Totem Dragon's effect in their grave to special summon itself.

Totem Dragon states if it was special summoned that way, it's banished when removed from the field. So, it kind of differs from Treeborn Frog in that aspect.

My question is, is Totem Dragon's effect to special summon itself negated while it's in the grave so it just stays there and can keep coming back until Light And Darkness Dragon is used up or would it come back to the field once, be negated, then be banished because of the condition?

Lol, I feel kinda like a noob for asking this but I've only seen the Treeborn Frog loop and I understand how that works. I just am not sure if it still works for Totem Dragon because of that condition.
