An update to my previous post, with all the Verz cards!
- The Verz:
FLIP: Target 1 Special Summoned monster on the field; shuffle it into the Deck.
DARK Reptile/Effect
Level 4

I... Suppose this might be useful? Maybe? The big hitters that are taken out by this are going to the extra deck anyway. Less flexible than Frais.
During the turn this card is Normal Summoned, you can Normal Summon 1 "Verz" monster in addition to your Normal Summon or Set.
DARK Warrior/Effect
Level 4

Awesome card. Instantly make an XYZ monster.

Cannot be Special Summoned. When this card leaves the field by your opponent: Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; gain control of it until the end phase.

I... Still suppose this might be useful? If you combo with Mandrago it could be summoned immediately, but your opponent would work with the monster so it wouldn't inconvience them. Maybe if you had some traps that required you to sacrifice or something.

DARK Winged Beast/Effect

Great against cards with costs. Less restrictive than Azathoth, but your opponent might just get to summon it back.

There's a lot of dangerous dark running around these days, and it doesn't have to be level 5 or higher to do so. MAYBE a side option?

Another awesome one-two card. Easy XYZ.
You can Tribute this card to target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; destroy that target.
DARK Pyro/Effect

Twice per turn: You can banish 1 monster in your Graveyard; this card gains 300 ATK until your opponent's End Phase.
DARK Dinosaur/Effect

Good with Chaos Zone, and can reach over some of the metagame monsters. Could be pretty useful.
During either player's turn, when the effect of a Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster is activated: You can banish this card you control. During the next Standby Phase, return this card that was banished by this effect to the field, and it gains 300 ATK. The effect of "Verz Thunderbird" can only be activated once per turn.
DARK Thunder/Effect

Amazing fuel for Chaos Zone. Dodges pretty much everything you want, and if you can wait a turn you can XYZ.
When this monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: Target 1 face-up Level 5 or higher Special Summoned monster; destroy it.
DARK Dragon/Effect

Err... Maybe? There's a lot of XYZ these days, which is totally inapplicable here, and the target needs to be special summoned.

If this card battles an opponent's monster, that monster's effect is negated after damage calculation.
DARK Pyro/Effect

Pretty good. Avoid a hurtful effect (REDMD anyone?) and a good wall for things like Rai-Oh.
- The Techs:
Target 1 "Verz" monster you control and 2 cards your opponent controls; banish your target and return the opponent's targets to the hand.
Trap Card
Pretty awesome. If you've got the monsters for fuel, its got the bouncing ability.
This turn, all "Verz" monsters you control are unaffected by the effects of other Spell and Trap Cards.
Spell Card
The Verz's own lance. Fetch it and then play it to avoid all kinds of trouble that might occur.
Once per turn: You can shuffle 1 "Verz" or "Steelswarm" monster from your hand or side of the field into the Deck; add 1 "Verz" or "Steelswarm" monster from your Deck to your hand.
Trap Card
Reuse your XYZ I suppose. Can also put used Heliotropes back into the deck, so it has that going for it too.
This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. You can banish this face-up card you control; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters with the same name from your Deck. Destroy them during the End Phase. The effect of "Rescue Rabbit" can only be activated once per turn.
EARTH Beast/Effect
Level 4
300/100
Yup. Heliotrope.
Banish 2 DARK monsters from your Graveyard; add 1 Level 4 DARK monster from your Deck to your hand.
Sleep Card
Fuels Chaos Zone, grabs a monster for your XYZ. Why the heck not.
Target 1 Xyz Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it and attach this card to it as an Xyz Material.
Trap Card
AMAZING. If you run XYZ, you should run this card. Screw the rules, you've got XYZ spam.

2 Level 4 "Verz" or "Steelswarm" monsters<br />Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; discard 1 "Verz" or "Steelswarm" monster from your hand, and gain control of the target.

The effect isn't that useful most of the time. If you're facing Exodia, you could try to aim for a piece and banish it before they can retrieve it.

If you know your opponent has a plan to take you out (Hello, Ryko) then you can laugh in their faces. Pretty darn good. Combo with the other card for complete immunity here.

I've found that Dimensional Fissure and Chaos Zone work very well in Verz Decks. Dimensional Fissure doesn't work on Xyz Materials meaning it allows you to still use Verz Salamandra and Creeping Darkness. All three cards allow you to easily rack up Chaos Counters for Chaos Zone.

EDIT: Verz Thunderbird is great with Chaos Zone. So that's 4 cards that work with Chaos Zone: Dimensional Fissure, Creeping Darkness, Verz Salamandra and Verz Thunderbird.

I found a lot of the other Verz cards were too situational, especially the tributers. I might have to take a second look at Salamandra, but the effect seemed like it would just eat up the cards I would use for Creeping Darkness and/or DAD.
Edit: Having looked at Chaos Zone, I don't really see a reason to run it. Usually I only have the XYZs get banished (besides Rescue Rabbit, but you only have 3 Heliotropes), due to D-prison and the like.

While I may not run Verz or Steelswarm, Creeping Darkness would make a good addition to my Light & Dark deck. Due to a poor ratio of Light & Dark monsters Dark Armed Dragon ends up being a dead draw far too often and I'm not lucky enough to draw Pot of Avarice, Des Feral Imp, or The Transmigration Prophecy to try and lighten my graveyard.

I think the Verz tributers lend themselves more to a control-oriented deck rather than aggressive Xyz, which actually works pretty well with the Dark Creator + Corrosive Contagion. Also I'd like to mention Lavalval Chain as a good extra deck tech as it can give you an almost guaranteed early game DAD.

Oh, definitely. In my deck list that I posted, I run a Lavalval Chain (to get a rabbit or maybe something else I need) but also that one Daigusto card that puts 3 back in your deck, which I can almost always manipulate to get a DAD on the field.

I made a Dark Creator deck using Verz Olanta and Kaitos. Worked pretty well but still had a few consistency issues which I'm trying to work out now.

With the new Infestation cards I kinda stopped using the Chaos Zone variant in favor of a pure deck.
My Dark Creator Verz deck has been doing much better ever since I realized about Monster Reincarnation (lol I know I'm an idiot).
