Neo-Spacian Grand Mole vs Enemy Controller

Hi,

My question can be obvious, but I need a confirmation about a situation.

I control a monster and a set Enemy Controller. My opponent control a Neo-Spacian Grand Mole and attack my monster.

Can I activate Enemy Controller to change Neo-Spacian Grand Mole in defense mode to prevent my monster being bounced ?

Yes you can, since Grand Mole's effect is activated in Damage Step, and you can activate Enemy Controller in Battle Step (that's earlier than the timing for Grand Mole).
