Lightray Gearfried deck, need help.

So I've always liked Phoenix Gearfried, and religiously ran a Gemini deck for a long time. Not one to stay behind when new cards come out, I saw Phoenix Gearfried got a Lightray version and have tried to create a deck around it.

Here's my problem: I've never actually been able to use his ability, if I am able to Summon him at all. Any hints/tips on what I should be doing?



The Disciples of the Forbidden Spell seemed a good Catastor-esque card and I want them in the grave anyhow, whereas the Banish monsters seemed a good fit with Sorceror to return Banished monsters to my deck... except then Gearfried doesn't function.

thats right, 3 garoth and 3 jain makes gearfried playable on ligthsworn and very useful
i tested him a works perfect, so bad that lightsworns lost bulb and spore u.u

This looks nice for a lightray sorc deck. Gearfied shud go LS tho

mmm just noticed that lightray sorcerer can be abused by fairys

doesnt lightray gearfried only special summon with light monsters with DIFFERENT names? so... 3 jain and 3 garoth wouldnt work...

yes but do remember there are more lightsworn monsters then that its just those are the only warrior ones but because of there effect to mill cards you can get all the light monsters you need fast.
