Celri,Monk of the Dark world

Sorry,but i don't really good in english:D
me and my oppentnt(deathx) have a little problem aboute Celri,Monk of the Dark World.
I discard it by my Fabled Raven.I said it special summon by it's own effect(aka by Dark world's eff) and then "your opponent" in Celri's text is me,so i discard

He said Celri must discard by a Dark world card to special summon itself and get it's second eff.

So who wrong?Just ask to confirm,thanks

Dark World monsters do not have to be discarded by dark world effects to be discarded, they only have to be discarded by effects (such as Raven).
Celri gets special summoned to your opponent's side of the field, and because they control it, you discard.
If you discard a dark world, they'll get the effect that they get when discarded by an opponent's card effect.

Dark Worlds can only be special summoned by card effects that say discard. So. If I activated Card Destruction (Not a dark world card) and I had 3 Dark World monsters in my hand, I can special summon those 3 monsters.

Dark Worlds cannot, however, be special summoned from the grave if you discard it by cost. (e.g. Lightning Vortex, Raigeki Break, etc.)

That being said, First ruling of Fabled Raven says it's an effect, not a cost. Source
