Re: Moments where you felt like a failure
Playing Lightsworns, swarmed the field and didn't use Lumina cuz I didn't think I needed to. Ended up 400 away and the opponent Dark Holed the next turn.
Then I felt awesome cuz i revive Plaguespreader for direct attack

Re: Moments where you felt like a failure
Yesterday playing Fableds against..., uhm, don't remember what, but opp had a little advantage. Manage to summon 3 monsters in one turn and planning to do an awsome synchro comeback like Trishula or something, but then I realized..., that the three monsters on my field were Raven, Kushano and Cerburrel (all three tuners). End up losing the duel

Dropping Thunder-King first turn...then think lol let's play Duality, and of course it hits the field before I can catch the misplay myself. Q_Q

Me: Dragon Ravine on field, MST and Dragunity Duxx in hand
Opp: Trishula on field and one set card
Me: Not checking the grave, using MST to destroy the set card (Dark bribe)
Me: summoning duxx to synchro for orient dragon
Me: realizing that he banished my Phalanx from grave last turn
*Facepalm*

In all honesty, thats still better than not playing PoD and being stuck with drawing MST for the next 3 turns. So its not that bad.

When I didn't know how to make a proper deck. I made a 60 card deck out of mainly monsters when I started.

20 minutes ago, for failing to fully comprehend Avogadro's Hypothesis (namely, how the Volume and Quantity can remain the same when different gases often have differently-sized atoms).
Then I whacked my head against the wall and decided to spend the day killing brain cells on here instead.

Re: Moments where you felt like a failure
I was winning. And I had a chance at a win, so I was going to go for it, but I was afraid that the opponent would have veiler. So What do I do? I summon DCK. Forgetting that my boss monster Dark Gaia triggers (well, technically not a trigger, but you know what I mean) DCK, I follow it up with a Dark Calling, taking cards from my hand as well, since I had nothing good in grave (2 tour guides). Yeah. I just went and -4'd myself. Good job there. Lost the game eventually.

Forgetting T.G-s effect at the EP. I atk somebody, but dont realize he may have Gorz, or some spell/trap and loose... Dead draw's like : 2x Neos alius, and then Stratos.

Re: Moments where you felt like a failure
Used FuFu to dump CyDra, 3 Returners and 3 Jinzo. Opponent manages to hold me off for 2 more turns, then Overdragon comes out and kills my field. THEN I draw DAD, and I can't use Overload Fusion to gain control of my Graveyard because it wouldn't have a proper target in the Extra Deck.

Quitting prematurely, then realizing the opponent couldn't attack with Chaos Sorcerer the same turn its effect to banish was activated.

Getting trounced by Crystal Beasts thanks to Crystal Abundance when you've been leading for most of the duel. The Rainbow Dragon showing up was just an extra stab in the old duelist pride.

Haha, funny topic, it seems that some players are too proud to post on this thread and prefer to post in those ego threads xD.
Well, in a match that luckuly I won, to try and recover the advantage I lost during the duel, I used Monster Reborn on a Spirit Reaper that I had on my graveyard. Problem?, my opponent had a Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind, I felt so stupid with that misplay.

Re: Moments where you felt like a failure
It just happened to me.
Anyway, I'm trying to play Ojama & I main 2 Instant Fusion & Future Fusion. In my duel, I drew Instant fusion & used it only to realize I forgot to add the fusions.
I also drew the other copy & FF at moments where I really needed something that could help me.
Needless to say, I lost the game

Ugh. I'll never forgive myself for that move.

Me, opening hand:
Geartown, Malefic Cyber End, Skill Drain, D Fissure, Heavy Storm
Thinking: *I'll shut him down right away and dominate the field*
Opponent goes first:
Wind-up hand destruction loop.

Re: Moments where you felt like a failure
I've got more than enough moments, but two take the cake:
Upon the duel starting, my opponent brings out wroughtwiler. I moronically destory it without any way of preventing it's effect. Cue a turn leter, and I'm staring down absolute zero with my pathetic starting hand.
Late on in another duel, I'm staring down a dark world deck with no way of removing them from play. I'm lucky enough to get worm victory out on the field with 5500 ATTACK POINTS.
...and then my opponent mind controls it like a cheap bastard.

Re: Moments where you felt like a failure
Being too scared of walking into a Magic Cylinder I don't attack. I have lost a few duels that way when I could have easily won.
Of course it's totally justified as one time after summoning Cyber Twin Dragon and both attacks were hit by a Magic Cylinder I've developed this sense of paranoia.

Playing Allure of Darkness and drawing Mirage Knight & Dark Magician Knight.
I had Polymerization, so all I needed was Dark Magician and a Fusion Substitue, but having almost everything needed for Dark Flare Knight/Mirage Knight didn't help at all.

Yesterday I was dueling an Exodia Necross stall deck thing. I had Black Luster Soldier and some other monster on the field.
Then my opponenet used Dark Hole. This is bad because I had Starlight Road in my hand since like turn one.

Opponent goes through fancy plays to summon Shooting Quasar Dragon. He makes a bunch of mistakes and I have to correct him. After the series of summons, I look back at my hand and notice a Maxx "C".
Later in the game, I destroy the Shooting Quasar, and Monster Reborn it to take out his Shooting Star and control the rest of the game.
