Stardust Effect, Monster Reborn, Destroyed by Battle
Basically, topic...
If opponent used Stardust Dragon's effect to negate, say, Heavy Storm; then revived it with Monster Reborn; and in that same turn the Stardust gets destroyed by battle...Does its effect still go off to revive itself at end of turn?
For the record, I'm already pretty sure it doesn't, but my friend is adamant it does; and we need a resolution before it causes an irreparable rift in our friendship. But no rush.

I'd say it's probably a no?
Most things re-set once the card leaves the place where the effect activates.
I assume it's similar to the ruling of when Stardust is removed from play. Even if it's returned to the grave during the turn, it can't special summon itself.
but then, the wording IS a little ambiguous -_-

Of course not, you´re right, stardust effect "resets" when revived by monster reborn/call of the haunted/anything, therefore it does NOT revive in the end phase if destroyed by battle later on.

Re: Stardust Effect, Monster Reborn, Destroyed by Battle
here's the ruling for your reference:
if Stardust Dragon leaves the graveyard after using its effect, even if it was returned to the graveyard on that same turn, you can no longer use its effect to special summon itself.wikia wrote:If "Banisher of the Light"'s effect is active and you Tribute "Stardust Dragon", or if "D.D. Crow" removes "Stardust Dragon" from play after it is Tributed, then "Stardust Dragon" will not Special Summon itself during the End Phase. This applies even if "Stardust Dragon" is later returned to the Graveyard.
