Is the background change permanent?

I hope that the black background for the forum is only temporary. Black backgrounds with white writing bothers many people's eyes (scientific fact). I'm one of those people.
I really liked the white background of the forum. Hope it goes back to it. Any supporters for this suggestion?

We've changed server for the forum

Um we're testing it out for now. If not a lot of people like it we could go back to the old one, but for now I've been getting a lot of positive feedback on the current layout so idk

I really liked the old background. I sort of dislike this one. I t bothers my Cicada eyes =/.

Not a big fan to be honest. I liked it better before.

If it was proven I don't see why many of the major forums have a black background. I'm personally just not digging the blue, but everything else is peachy. Especially the rainbow notifier. It's neat.

That blue was annoying to read. I agree with Miley, the blue looks odd. Although I do like the new look, it looks awesome (like how the buttons at the top look, etc,)!

Agree with the blue,,
might be better to makes it a little darker..
somehow it doesnt suit well in my eyes if the blue meets white,

The new look is pretty cool. I'd just change the electric blue that is seen on the headers and other stuff. I also liked the top part of the old background, so it'd be cool if this new one could have something similar.

Btw, dark backgrounds help to save the planet, as they make the screens use less energy, which means a smaller carbon footprint

Interesting point, never though of that.

I wouldn't mind a darker blue.

Well What I think is it should be different for everyone! I think you should be able to customize it yourself! Hope this helps!

I think the black bg is cool and really not all that bad on the eyes even with white text. A white bg with black text however would be much more annoying especially at late night hours. Well thats my 2c anyway.

i agree with nomi i think we should be able to choose our own backgrounds i like the colors and all but i would like to have it how i really like it

That's hard to bring to the table, what most sites usually do is create multiple skins "Let's say 8" so you have a multitude of choices for the site to look in a way that pleases you. Way too complicated to have some sort of way for users to do it themselves.

I'm a fan of the color code in the quote box. For those who are unfamiliar with it,

This is a pretty nifty color

I figure it would make nice as an effect in a different shade of blue.
