When this card battles: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; halve the ATK of the other battling monster, and this card gains the same amount of ATK.


The attack he gains through this effect... does he keep it or lose it after the battle?

Keeps it forever and opponent loses the atk forever.

Meaning that after all materials go you could have a 3000+ atk monster on your side of the field.
