My opp doesn't have any monster on grave

Then he send any random laval + Tender of the Laval Volcano


Can he use Tender of the Laval Volcano eff ?

I keep saying no, but opp ignores me and sending 3 more laval

I'm not sure about this, but I think your opponent can.

Sending 2 cards is suppose to happen in same time, same as six sams summon 2 samurai, but only get 1 counter

and tender effect only worked if theres another laval on grave, same as lumina cann't just discard and summon lightswron if there is no LS on grave

The example might a bit incorrect, but you grasp the idea

Lumina can't because it needs the target in grave to activate the effect, but this is about the timing of Tender being sent to grave.
In my opinion, Tender's eff will activates. Cause when it hits the grave, there's another "Laval" monster here with her. (and Gateways counts how many times you summon monster(s), not counting the number of monsters, so it's can't compare with Tender here)

When Tender hits the grave, the Lava monster hits the grave as well, so Tender can actives its effect. Just like Grandmaster of the Six Samurai can return itself to hand after you Dark Hole him.

That's what I thought too.

When this card is sent to the Graveyard while a "Laval" monster, except "Tender of the Laval Volcano", is in your Graveyard: You can send 1 "Laval" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

Yea, what I mean, for tender effect active its check if there already a target in graveyard

being sending in same time, means there isn't any other laval monster not yet hit graveyard

Effects like Tender check the grave when it hits the grave.

You really don't understand the situation.
When Tender hits the grave, the other "Laval" also hits the grave as well. Then, Tender's eff will check the grave for other "laval" monster beside itself, and it find the valid requirement for its eff, it will activates. Tender's eff activates AFTER both monsters hits the grave, that's why the requirement can be fulfill.

Its effect will active AFTER it hit the grave.

Just like Burden of Mighty reduce your monster's ATK, and Wanghu will kill it.

You're confusing effects like that of Light and Darkness Dragon's summoning effect. Light and Darkness Dragon destroys and summons at the same time, so it can't summon a monster that is already on the field that would be destroyed.

Grandmaster of the Six Samurai's effect doesn't activate while it's being sent - it activates after. It will look for a target after it is destroyed (and it's mandatory, too).

The Wanghu example doesn't have anything to do with this question.

It checks for a monster when it would activate. It would activate after both monsters have hit the grave. It works.

Tender is sent to the grave -> once it hits the grave it checks for other Laval monsters in the grave except for another Tender -> If true then send 1 Laval from deck to grave.

Tender activates after Sweltering Heat Transmission Resolves, meaning by that time there are 2 Lavalvals in grave.

Okay. Think of it like this.

Tender has to be into the grave for his effect to activate. Because Sweltering Heat Transmission sends two Laval monsters at once, Tender, and whatever your other option is both hit the graveyard at the same time, so they're both a part of the graveyard when Tender's effect activates, and it can resolve properly, because there is another Laval monster other than Tender.

Grandmaster's effect is basically the same, nothing so confused about this
