effect timing QUESTION

scenario;

P1: attacked P2's set card which was ryko with jurrac guaiba.
P2: flipped ryko and destroys P1's set s/t.

now the question is..will guaiba misses the timing to activate its eff since the last thing happened was the destruction of set s/t..?

Guaiba destroys Ryko by battle, that was enough for Guaiba's effect to be activated, no missing the timing here. And even if Ryko destroys Guaiba, Guaiba can still Special Summon another "Jurrac" to the field.

lets say guaiba is flamvell firedog. is there a changes?

There's a little change. If Ryko's not destroy Firedog but destroys other card on the field, Firedog can Special Summon monster to the field, but if Ryko destroys Firedog, Firedog's effect can't be activated.
