Daigusto emeral Rulingand Fusion/Synchro/Xyz monsters

Hi,

I have a problem, because two formulations exist for Daigusto Emeral effect. Which one is the correct ?

2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; activate 1 of these effects.
● Target 3 monsters in your Graveyard; shuffle them into your Deck, then draw 1 card.
● Target 1 Non-Effect Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.


On DN

2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to activate 1 of the following effects:
● Target 3 monsters in your Graveyard and shuffle them into your Deck; draw 1 card.
● Target 1 Non-Effect Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.


It is the second time I see people returning monsters in the Extra Deck. The first, i let the opponent do it. The second time, the opponent had to quit the duel before the admin arrived.

If I ask this question, it is because the effects are very different. On Wikia, returning monsters to deck is an effect, so like pot of avarice, opponent should be able to returning Fusion/Synchro/Xyz monsters to extra deck. On DN, returning (or shuffling) monsters to DECK is a cost, so Fusion/Synchro/Xyz monsters should not be able to be returned to EXTRA DECK.

Some people have more informations about the good formulation of Daigusto Emeral, and if my interpretation of both of the cards effect are correct.

The only cost for Daigusto Emeral is detaching its Xyz materials, so return monsters to Deck is part of the effect. And remember, there's some card lores mistakes on DN.

The shuffle into deck is before the semicolon, therefore it is also a cost.

Daigusto Emeral, the way it is currently written, can not return monsters to the extra deck.

Same for Caam and similar Gusto cards- They can only return main deck Gustos, because it's a cost, unlike Avarice.

I think there is no official ruling made by konami yet about daigusto (or in japanese if they exist).

But I think we need some people who speak japanese to tell us which formulation between DN and Wikia is correct until the card is published in TCG. That change a lot of things.

Well, you don't actually need to be able to read/speak Japanese to tell, but...

Daigusto Emeral: 自分の墓地に存在するモンスター３体を選択し、デッキに加えてシャッフルする。その後、自分のデッキからカードを１枚ドローする
Pot of Avarice: 自分の墓地に存在するモンスター５体を選択し、デッキに加えてシャッフルする。その後、自分のデッキからカードを２枚ドローする

See what I'm trying to say? The format for the two cards are exactly the same. What applies for one card should also apply to the other.

Conclusion:

Wikia formulation is the correct one and Fusion/Synchro/Xyz monsters can be returned to extra deck for Daigusto Emeral effect.

Thank you storyteller. I already knew that Tuvillo base on the DN card lores to say that shuffle back to deck is cost, but I want to see if he has anything else to back him up so I pretended that I don't know.

I'm sorry, thought the second semicolon after the dots was in between drawing and shuffling.

Sidenote, Caam IS a cost, hence my confusion as to the internal inconsistencies of the Gusto.

You should read the card carefully next time, I made a lot of mistakes by didn't read the card carefully before, so I understand what you said.
