I bet it will be part of that homo new concept that Konami is debuting instead of making their rulings for Exceeds more consistent.

New concept? Christ, Xyz's aren't even a year old and something new is coming.

Cards for already existing themes sounds nice. Perhaps that means new Harpie cards.

I usually hate the new concept because Konami either half asses it compared to a main mechanic. I hate them more when they have not set up a new mechanic properly.

No, it's like how there's Synchros, then Accel Synchros, then Delta Accel Synchros. We have Exceeds, and now there is those wierd Exceeds like Chaos Utopia and Ptolemys M7 that can overlay onto other Exceeds.

Except those were always extensions of already established mechanics and made easy to understand, well except for exceeds since the limbo space for materials is still not a true limbo.

I will also call it. Summoning conditions will be: Remove 1 light monster and 1 dark monster in your graveyard from play to special summon this card. If in your graveyard, you may remove 1 light monster in your hand and 1 dark monster in your hand to special summon this card from the graveyard.

Make another broken card, Konami... I don't think you can.

Cards that convert Ranks into Levels allowing one to use Xyz Monsters as fodder for Ritual, Synchro or Xyz Summons (Xyzception)?

Or perhaps cards that can change their entire composition at any time in the field, deck or grave. In that they can become treated as Normal, Effect, Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz Monsters, Spells or Traps and therefore benefit from each type of card's support. They'd still be summoned their regular ways it's just that they'll be percieved as their chosen disguise.

Or maybe what Badass Bunny said, perhaps Monsters that get their effects as Xyz Materials. Or they give affects to the Xyz Monsters kinda like Union monsters.

I'm just spewing out random crap. My imagination is going wild.

They did. Most new concepts introduced in green packs never get more than a set or two before being forgotten. LV were mostly forgotten in 2. Gemini were never a green release. Synchros were a huge major release. The last green pack gave some support to synchro fusions, and that didnt last past the set I believe.

Considering that Green packs always use a card that is part of the new concept that gets introduced, its very likely that Excalibur will be one of the new concept cards.

I could name a few, but they were never good to begin with nor have some of the newer Unions been any good.

Its sad the best Union monster in the game right now is Armory Arm, and it doesnt even get a Union title because they dont have room for it.

Heavy Mech Platform, Freezing Beast, Burning Beast, Des Dendle, Pitch-Black Dragon, XYZ Machines + Fusions, Elenemtal Fairy ones, etc.

Usually Union monsters have some kind of built in protection (from card destruction, battle, or both), and some have secondary effects such as attack boost, draw power, etc. Then others are just protection without any other effects.

They have some support, but its all been lackluster except for Roll-Out. Not to mention the monsters themselves are lackluster. :/

Except that none of the Union support work with him. He is Union-like, but not a Union monster, (there are a few effect monsters that are similar in that regard).

With the help of Rollout, other ones such as Spirit of the Six Samurai and Oilman shine fairly well, adding draw power to decks that don't have much (for Six Sams he came out before the ridiculousness of the Legendaries).

Armory Arm for all intents and purposes is a Union monster. Has the same type of effect and the only reason why the rest of the Union support doesnt apply to it is because its in the Extra Deck. Plus seeing [Machine/Effect/Synchro/Union] would be ridic considering the card text. Also the Synchro and Union titles would both be in the same listing spot.

Armory Arm doesn't protect from destruction either, can I get a cookie now?

Anyway ''Return of the Duelist'' might mean support for the older Archetypes, which Konami has been doing the past months.
This could mean that D-HERO monsters might get some support, AG, Dark Magician(please Konami, please!), Roid, and some more of course.
That's just me thinking though.

And the new concept could be a new sort of effect monster like Union, Gemini, etc. Doesn't matter they have been in a green pack before or not, such a thing might be made right now.

What's a "red" or a "green" set? Is this some secret Konami rainbow conspiracy or some sh*t? Generation Force was Blue. And THAT had a new concept. Actually, a pretty big one.

Assault Mode wasnt a new concept. It came from a red set.

Assault Modes were never seen before were they? You never saw Blue-Eye White Dragon/Assault Mode or Elemental HERO Flame Wingman/Assault Mode did you? So it stands to reason that this concept was "new" when it came out. Seriously what you just said is kinda retarded.

I liked Assualt Modes. Relatively good support and an improvement on perfection is always nice.

That improvement on perfection being Red Dragon Archfiend/Assualt Mode.

Technically... they just built up on the Union idea of equipping monsters to other monsters.

Look at it where it got us... those damn inzectors.

- A lot of the latest cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZeXaL anime
- New Xyz Monster as well as cards to support their Summoning, cards for already existing themes and cards of a brand-new concept.
- Cover Card is "Heroic Champion Excalibur"

"Heroic Champion Excalibur" ....
When this card on blah blah... it treated as a HERO monster....
When this card leave field, grab a card with poly on its name

no ?

All of those seem possible, and not bad for the game...I would approve!...

Let your imagination fly.
Maybe its not even a Xyz. It can be an effect monster that attaches monsters to it through its effect and detach them to use another effect.
Or a Synchro monster with rank not level. That would need a Xyz tuner monster, and maybe it attaches cards to it, once you wouldnt waste Synchro materials attached cards.
