Post  kangtuji 2011-12-30, 07:02

1. Vanity Active on field......
Can I use gold ninja eff ? I don't think vanity stop triggering effect....

(Card are sending to graveyard before the summon happens = Vanity Destroyed)

2. White Dragon ninja on field
Vanity active on field

A card goes to graveyard.... does dragon protect vanity own desctruction ?

Answer: Gold ninja can't spec summon

What RareHunter said is correct.
Vanity's Emptiness prevent any attempt to Special Summon => Gold Ninja can't be SS.
White Dragon Ninja + Vanity's Emptiness + Safe Zone = lock field combo.

So sending trap to grave is cost or not ?

What happen if card like Macro Cosmo/Banisher of radiance / light active one field ?
(Assuming no vanity call on field in this case)

Sending a trap to the grave with Gold Ninja is a cost.

If the cards mentioned are on the field, you can't send a trap & SS.

So....
sending trap to grave is cost ? That ridicilous

Because that means.... you're unable to send the trap if macro cosmo asctive on field, but you can special summon because vanity emptiness would be destroyed first

Sending a trap card is a cost for Gold Ninja
u can't special summon a monster. it = sending Veiler to grave while Cosmos on field (Veiler's ruling: u can't activate veiler's effect while Cosmos on field) and it = u can't spec summon monster by Gold's effect

He berates other people for not knowing rulings, yet he can't figure out something so simple like what a cost is. Oh, the irony.

From what I understand Kangtuji...if a card like Vanity's Emptiness is active on the field, then you can't even attempt to special summon...so naturally you couldn't pay the cost to begin with.

Even if you could...Vanity's Emptiness wouldn't be destroyed because it is only destroyed when a card from the deck or field is sent to the grave. Sending a trap from your hand for Gold Ninja's effect wouldn't affect it.

If Vanity Emptiness is on the field you can't even attempt to special summon, cost or not has nothing to do with it, basically follow this pattern "You can't attempt to do X while Y is preventing it"

Macro Cosmos stops Gold Ninja because you can't pay the cost and send the card to grave.

the only way to summon with that trap out would be a card with a effect able to destroy /remove from field vanity then summon later

cant remember if a card like it exists

Milling or even using a spell / trap card will do the trick.

..you know i was talking about SS with the card out as the type of cards you can use with this out(without using anything first or with macro cosmos out)

what i meant is an effect letting you remove vanity and then giving you the choice to SS
