Demoiselle de Fortune, Fortune Lady Guide[25% Complete, Updating Daily]

Fortune Ladies are an archetype of Monsters used by Carly in the Yugioh 5D's anime, they where released in the Packs Ancient Prophecy and Stardust Overdrive, however never really made an impact at all due to lack of good support, but can still be a fun and suprisingly decent casual deck.


Fortune Lady Light(フォーチュンレディ・ライティー,Fōchun Redi Raitī)

This card's ATK and DEF are equal to its Level x 200. During each of your Standby Phases, increase the Level of this card by 1 (max 12). When this card is removed from the field by a card effect, you can Special Summon 1 "Fortune Lady" monster from your Deck.

And the first of the unneeded anime nerfs. She should've worked when she was destroyed by battle, in my opinion. However, there is no excuse to not run her at 3. She is pretty much the stepping stone of getting the best fortune lady out on the field with minimal effort, and is BLS Food. Run 3 or GTFO. Unfortunately, it's a "When... You can..." Effect so it can miss the timing.

Fortune Lady Fire(フォーチュンレディ・ファイリー,Fōchun Redi Faiarī)

This card's ATK and DEF are equal to its Level x 200. During each of your Standby Phases, increase the Level by 1 (max. 12). When this card is Special Summoned in Attack Position by the effect of a "Fortune Lady" card, destroy 1 face-up monster on your opponent's side of the field, and inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK.

This was so garbage in the anime, they made this one much better, thank god. She is actually a very nice Tech at 1, but it's completely optional if you want to use it or not. She's level 2, so try and think of imaginative uses. Xyzs and Synchros, of course. She's a little vunerable after her effect, so you might want to clear her off the field as soon as possible.

Fortune Lady Wind(フォーチュンレディ・ウインディー,Fōchun Redi Uindī)
Another optional Fortune Lady. I don't really suggest it, at all. The fact that it doesn't activate upon being special summoned is what holds it back. Other than that, it's a MST that you can summon. You already have enough S/T hate, so just leave this one out unless you have tons of space.

Fortune Lady Water(フォーチュンレディ・ウォーテリー,Fōchun Redi Wōterī)

This card's ATK and DEF are equal to its Level x 300. During each of your Standby Phases, increase the Level of this card by 1 (max 12). When this card is Special Summoned while you control a face-up "Fortune Lady" monster except "Fortune Lady Water", draw 2 cards.

The only fortune lady who deserved her nerf. Anyway, she's amazing, run it at 3 or GTFO. Really helps you gain card advantage and makes lots of smexy combos with fortune lady dark. Run at 3 because it makes lots of Combos.

Fortune Lady Dark(フォーチュンレディ・ダルキー,Fōchun Redi Darukī)

This card's ATK and DEF are equal to its Level x 400. During each of your Standby Phases, increase the Level of this card by 1 (max 12). When a face-up "Fortune Lady" monster you control destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, you can select and Special Summon 1 "Fortune Lady" monster from your Graveyard.

The best fortune lady and their true boss. This card, not only is she a really easy to summon 2K beater, but will summon Fortune Ladies from your Graveyard.
She can summon another copy of herself and continue attacking, to swarm the field with 4 Fortune Ladies which then turn into a Volcasaurus and so forth. Run 3 or GTFO.

Fortune Lady Earth(フォーチュンレディ・アーシー,Fōchun Redi Āshī)

This card's ATK and DEF are equal to its Level x 400. During each of your Standby Phases, increase the Level of this card by 1 (max 12). When the Level of this card increases, inflict 400 damage to your opponent.

Horrible. Don't run this or I will reach through the screen and beat you up with a meat cleaver. Maybe for Rank 6s...? OH WAIT, 2 FORTUNE LADY DARKS DO THAT JOB, you just have to wait a turn, which isn't hard at all <_< If I see anyone running this, THERE WILL BE ANGER.

Spell&Trap Support

Bending Destiny

Activate only if all face-up monsters you control are "Fortune Lady" monsters. Negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card, or the Normal Summon of a monster, and remove that card from play. The card removed from play by this effect is returned to its owner's hand during the End Phase.

It seems good, but it really isn't. The fact of the matter is, 99% of Fortune Lady Decks arn't pure. This makes it a simple dead draw like 9/10 times, and the last line makes it really useless. The fact it does nothing to Special Summons makes it just, no. Don't run this.

Inherited Fortune

Konami took DEST, and put it through a shredder, then shot it. And then this is the result. But DAT ART! Card is garbage, don't run.

Time Passage

You'd think this would actually support the archetype. DAT ART again, but card is even more garbage than Inherited fortune because Inherited fortu...Oh never mind, don't run it. It's an insult to the fortune ladies.


Amazing. Run 3. Excellent Draw Power. Konami got something right for once? Card sets up more RFP, which leads into more draw power from this, which leads into more RFP. Yea. Amazing draw power and I <3 this card.

Slip of Fortune

It's ok. It's a bit odd. Had it removed both monsters, I would've liked it. But alas. My biggest issue is that there are better ways to remove your fortune lady light and still have the cards for use(I.e: Comp.Device)

Once per turn, you can select 1 face-up "Fortune Lady" monster you control and 1 other face-up monster on the field. Reduce the Level of the selected "Fortune Lady" monster by 3, and destroy the other selected monster.

It's very interesting, a Scrap Dragon, even. However, scrap dragon himself is better in 90% of cases as you don't have to control 3 Monsters to destroy your own Fortune Lady Light.
