Help me brush up on two little things please.
1.
I recently saw someone do this.
2.
Someone told me tokens are destroyed whenever they leave they field. I've also read that they simply "disappear" when used as tributes or sent as synchro material. I need clarification on this for when I use Ojama Trio and my opponent manages to use them as synchro material.
Thanks in advance.

Is this play valid?
The turn player has a set Torrential Tribute.
He normal summons Rescue Rabbit.
He activates the effect of that Rescue Rabbit in response to its own summon.
He chains Torrential Tribute to the effect of Rescue Rabbit.
Cost - Rescue Rabbit "hops out of the way."
Resolution:
Link 2 - Monsters on the field are destroyed.
Link 1 - Two normal dinosaurs are summoned from the deck.

Re: Help me brush up on two little things please.
1. Correct.
2. Tokens are destroyed only when they are being destroyed by a card effect or game mechanic. Say, if I attack with a Token and you activate Dimensional Prison. That token is not destroyed, it is Banished by way of being sent from the field.

Ojama Trio tokens can be used as Synchro Material and are not destroyed because of this as tuning doesn't destroy monsters or tokens. The opponent won't take the damage for using the tokens for this purpose. The tokens would have to be destroyed by a card that destroys cards or destroyed by battle.

Okay so this means that during my main phase I can activate a spell speed 1 effect in response to a summon, then chain a card in the same response window?
I know this sounds noobish maybe; it's just I've been playing for years and can't recall the last time I've seen this done other than the example I just gave.
So for example:
Let's say hypothetically that Torrential Tribute had this effect instead:
Activate only when a monster is Summoned. Destroy all cards on the field and in both players' hands.
I summon a random monster.
Then I activate a Foolish Burial in response to the summon, targeting Wulf.
Next, I chain my fictional Torrential Tribute to Foolish.
Resolution:
Link 2 - All cards on the field and in both players' hands are destroyed.
Link 1 - Foolish dumps Wulf.
Wulf is special summoned from the grave, avoiding the whole nuke.
That play would also be valid right?

Re: Help me brush up on two little things please.
You cannot activate a Spell Speed 1 effect in response to a summon in general.
You can activate an ignition effect of a monster you control in response to a summon you make during your Main Phase as long as that summon does not occur within a chain (chain link 2+). You can also activate any trigger effects of cards you control which activate specifically in response to a summon, as can your opponent, and doing so will cause you to "lose" your priority to activate ignition effects. And lastly, you and your opponent can both activate Spell Speed 2+ cards/effects in response to a summon.

in your senario your tt will miss the timing and be unable to be activated

Again, just stressing that in the TCG, you may respond to a monster's summon with another monster's Ignition effect. you can't use norma spells, or the ignition like effect of continuous/field spells, in response to a monster's summon.
