BB's Ameteurish Works
So that is my first sig, I am just starting out so any help would be appreciated. I'm having hard time with creating the flow(in spite of of Kimo's Tutorial)

Nice! For amateur work! What effects did you use in the background?Badass_Bunny wrote:

I used too much stuff for background, it was trublesome. I liquified main render(enlarged) than added some stocks, lots of dodge tool, smudged the main render.

That's very decent for a 1st one. I'd say the render needs more work, but that's good.

That's better. The render blens perfectly with the sig & the text is pretty decent.

Re: BB's Ameteurish Works
This last one you saw on "Fire Effect" Sigtutorials tutorial, right?
The first 1 is not good. The Render don't blend, the Stars look like random white pixels and the darkened pic just screw any possibility of Light Source (You tried to make one in her right, but the other part is just way to dark.) Aside of being pretty big.
The Second one is pretty good, I liked, despite the stock background (Which I really hate those, and this one is the only exception by now). The only really that is really lacking is depth (Using the Burn tool and Dodge tool works good to this. To do so, just make a new layer, then go to Image>Apply Image, then try them out)
The third one is from a tutorial, a pretty interesting tutorial, and it is pretty good. Because it teachs you the importance of Blending options and how to make a Lighting Source with you own render (I made my Chaos Sorcerer Sig based of the tutorial). But Since it don't have anything more than that, you made the sig pretty small, which was a smart choice.
Now, pick you last Sigs (Respect the code one) and do the following:
1. Make a New Layer
2. Image>Apply Image
3. Set the layer on "Lighten"
4. Pick Gaussian Blur and put 3px.
Also, remove this "grid" texturization, it kills the main point of the sig, the render itself.

Re: BB's Ameteurish Works
Actually the 2nd sig isn't stock background I downloaded some Dripping Circle Brushes, kinda played around a little with what I can do used "Star" brush to make the part on the left, than used a photograph of Space and set it to overlay to get that kinda dirty look
Btw I forgot to thank you for the tips
anyway I took your advice on the image but to be honest I don't see much difference

Re: BB's Ameteurish Works
The first one: The render did not blended in the bg. And as many people know, No Blend= Screw it.
The second one: It is okay... but kinda blank and it is somewhat "gazed". Did you saved it as PNG?
The Third one: The render did not blended at all. Try using Gradient Maps for that.

no I save all of them as PSD's for possible changes and improvements. You had something in mind?

There as different of save and Save as.
You can save the project as PSD and "Save as" them as PNG, but with another name.

I know, I save all of my works in as both PSD's and as PNG.
I fooled around a little bit after reading some tutorials
TBH Don't know why is it so dark here, it looked lighter in the photoshop

Re: BB's Ameteurish Works
Well, it looks simple and cool. But it is way to dark. try to put some "Dodge" tool on the center to make a awesomesauce flow. And the render is hard to read.

Render is hard to read?
Anyway I'll try and do that, maybe it's my personality but I like darker sigs.
