Quick response admins
To try and ease the current strain on admins required for technical or elaborate judgings, have a team of mods for settling disputes due to trolling or generic abuse.
Possibly even doing basic rulings if it's just misunderstanding card text.

Or.... they could Create a separate chat channel for rulings

Re: Quick response admins
Or that, but that wouldn't address the problem or help with response times.

Re: Quick response admins
I highly doubt they are going to split admin jobs up. An admin should be able to handle the responsibility they have been granted.

Re: Quick response admins
If there's harassment, screencap it.
If there's a ruling dispute, there's no reason you can't just pm an admin and ask about the ruling.

Re: Quick response admins
It's more to do with people waiting around for non-ruling related problems.
Those who pass the judge test are obviously qualified for that, but a group of trusted users would be able to respond to the others and help keep things moving.

Or how about waiting for longer then 5 minutes.TheFunhouseDuelist wrote:It's more to do with people waiting around for non-ruling related problems.

Patience is the name of the game here, people need to learn there are more people then them that need help.

Re: Quick response admins
Except 90% of calls are ruling... what's the point of doing anything else besides adding admins, which we're doing since the limit was increased....

Re: Quick response admins
There's a lot of ... direct rejection to be polite in this thread o_0
And 90% is ruling?
Where's your evidence for that?
I've watched a ton of battles where the reasons for it halting have been a player not responding, refusing to play on, or ignoring what's written on a card.
Actual ruling queries have made up about 1/3, probably just 1/4 of that.
It's a suggestion, there's no need for aggression, just don't comment

Re: Quick response admins
Uh here's the thing what you see doesn't matter. There's this thing called a list where all the calls go and we can see the reason. When 9 out of every 10 calls is rulings, then it's 90%.

Re: Quick response admins
Except it really isn't.
Rulings is the default option for calling an admin.
If you honestly believe that every person is specifically selecting the right field, then you're being naive.
I've seen people use an admin call as a threat to get players to make a move.
What you're seeing doesn't make you right.
If anything, my experience outranks yours as it's actually empirical and gives the context.
EDIT:
I'm coming across more obtuse than I mean here, but to give such a sweeping statement as you did is just ridiculous.
There are a LOT more calls for admins for conditions other than complicated rulings.

Re: Quick response admins
I'm gonna have to agree with Chief on this one.
This has been brought up numerous times, and has been shot down numerous times for the exact same reason:
It's not needed.
You can say there aren't enough admins, but that is frankly not tru,e we are currently sitting at around 150 admins.
And Honestly, about 90% of calls are Rulings, and the other 10% can wait their turn anyways.
This thread has now become moot point.
