Different Card Effects

I just happened to notice that some cards says different effects than my IRL cards withe same name have. For example, DN's Ocean Dragon Lord- Neo-Daedalus says This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 1 "Levia-Dragon - Daedalus" on your side of the field. Send "Umi" on your side of the field to the Graveyard to send all cards in both players' hands and on the field to the Graveyard, except this card. and my IRL copy of it only says Send "Umi" on your side of the field to the Graveyard to send all cards in both players' hands and on the field to the Graveyard, except this card. I think we should be allowed to use the different printed effects to our advantage because my water deck relies on the latter form of this effect and, I'm sure, it has affected others' ability to use their IRL decks too.


If you say its because of errata, then I ask "in an IRL tournament, would they tell you to use the new effect, or just go by what the text says?"

This particular case is because the original printing of Neo-Daedalus in English FORGOT that line about its Summoning Condition. It was later reprinted with the correct text, and that is the one DN is using. You can find information about the errata on Wiki.

So, to be clear: Neo-Daedalus was misprinted IRL when it was first released. You cannot Summon it except by Tributing Levia.

Yup, we are using the latest eretta of cards, sometimes people own a old print which has been reprinted with a new text. The new text is always the correct one!
Just notice that not every card with a different text/problem solving card text is up-to-date yet, most are but some just need to be fixed.
