If all banned cards were limited...
What deck would you build if all of the banned cards were back at 1? I mean, the most broken kind of deck you could come up with. I'm trying to put one together just for the lulz and see if it really would be so overpowered against advanced format decks. Any ideas?

Makyura Exchange of the Spirit OTK is at least 95% successful, depending on the build. This is a bad idea.

Victory Dragon. Would you like to scoop the game or the match?

Lol, first thing I thought of when I seen this title. Trad. format exists.

More like Traditional vs Advanced to see if banned cards would really give that much of an advantage.

It's not an "advantage". Traditional is 100%, completely, unplayable.

Woah, I just checked it out... Makyura and Temple of the Kings give unbelievable draw power.

If all banned cards were limited the game would become the rock paper scissors we play to decide who goes first.

True that, but even in the advanced format the game is getting pretty close to playing rock-paper-scissors. Very often everything comes down to who gets to go first and set 3 Solemns and summon Laggia. Or better yet, Wind-Ups clearing your entire hand before you can even respond in any way.

It would also be the chaos format all over again. Just the chaos decks would be much deadlier.

This is why I'm not playing Rated until the next ban list.

Nice 300 damage for when Chaos Emperor Dragon nukes everything.

Re: If all banned cards were limited...
My Earthbound Immortal Deck is an advanced deck build and I still play it in traditional just to piss people off. I think it's funny how, even with banned cards, I still win with earthbounds because they're way too OP.
Honestly.... All I have to have is a field card.
I can even play Mausoleum of the Emperor or whatever. It allows me to pay 1000 life points for a tribute. I have 3 of those field cards + 3 terraformings (auto draw a field card from your deck), so out of a 40 card deck, 6 of them give me the field card. I'm not sure if my calculations are correct, but that gives me about a 90% chance of drawing the field card I need on the first turn. From there, I just need one of my 8 immortal cards that can't be targeted by an attack and can attack life points directly. I run Royal Decree so that they can't activate traps when I attack, so all in all, with a few other clever cards, earthbound is a tough deck to beat. Each attack with an earthbound immortal is 2500 to 3000 damage. Game over in 3-4 turns.

Yeah, banned cards don't always guarantee an automatic victory. I guess the greatest danger is super fast draw engines build around Makyura the Destructor and Temple of the Kings. Other than that, in the Inzektor era, they could as well bring back Raigeki and Harpie's Feather Duster. Or why not bring back Confiscation with all the Wind-Ups out there?

This is the only traditional deck Ive bothered with on dn. When I played a person with it they expected exodia but why bother with a win condition that requires 5 cards in hand when this is so much easier?

If the banlist is the real deal the game might suck less.
