basically pokemon goes like this:
1st gen: anime and card game and game attracts fans,which at the time are mostly younger
2nd gen:same as first gen
3rd gen:loses its charm and many fans, while the addition of many multi-types gains some
4th gen: many hate it. at this point the anime is becoming pretty crappy, but the ds game is freakin awesome at the time
5th gen: what kaousfaust xii said

Why you hating? Pokemon BW is freaking awesome, and people love it 100000000x more than the others. I can agree with you that the previous gens were pretty bad, but this one is nothing short of epic. Who doesn't love a guy named N? Not to mention Ghetsis has a scouter. A freaking scouter. The graphics for BW is just awesome, and the entrance is especially awesome!

The anime got better, however I dont play at all. I used to play it. Team Rocket suck. They just are too serious. They are not "blasting away again". Which is alright but the cut scenes are just serious boring Neutral

. I like it but it seems like its gonna get worse. I dunno why? Team Rocket? Its meant to be Fiction. Not realistic xD. I only like the battles. Its just so much fun and Im just screaming cause theyre so noobish like that xD

Yeah, the anime is WAY better than all the others. They replaced Brock, which really needed to be done, and Team Rocket doesn't come on EVERY episode and try to steal that epic little Pikachu. I can't wait for N and Ghetsis to appear in the anime.

The Game versions of Black & White delivered something that has never happened before in a previous gen, an actual Story that drives the game, and while some people point out the designs of the Vanilluxe and Garbador lines, they also seem to forget that Pokemon have had other lame designs (Magnemite,ditto, Grimer, etc) but overall the designs for these pokemon have been pretty awesome (Braviary, Krookodile, Chandelure, Hydreigon) but overall this gen has been one of the best so far

no need to flame but i have seen a LOT of the anime and i have to say ash is gay:P he hasnt made a move on any of the girls that he has traveled with, but that hasnt stopped me from watching

ash rolls back to 10 years old every new season, he gets amnesia and forgets everything he learned, and pikachu goes back to level 6.

Don't forget about N people! N, and Ghetsis are the #1 reason why Black and White is so beyond epic. Not to mention the epic entrance that BW has It's just epic watching Ghetsis crown N as king, especially with the cool background music.

Ontopic; Black and White are by the far the best Pokémon games, and Gen V is the best Gen.
I hate people who just rule out Gen V due to a few stupid looking Pokémon, they seem to think that Gen I has a perfect line-up of Pokémon. >>

I'm more of a Gen 2 Pokemon Fan so HeartGold, SoulSilver and the originals Gold and Silver will always be my faves. Black and white was ok but its the same story line beat the bad team get the badges etc. it would be interesting if they mixed it up a little like gave you a choice to join the bad side or either go Badges or Contests etc

Well, it's not exactly the same as the others. This one has more of a story to it, and a good one too. Not to mention N actually catches Reshiram/Zekrom with ease. None of the enemies from the previous gens catch a legendary dragon, now do they?

You're right, B&W team Plasma is better than the others, although it's hard to tell the difference between boy and girl goons. And the boss is insanely strong, stronger than the others. But the stupid thing about B&W is the only way in-game to get Fusion Flare and Fusion Bolt to maximum power is to fight N.

Pokemon Black and White is by far the best Pokemon game made by gamefreak yet. The major graphic improvement was just amazing. I'm a little upset though, on how they changed some of the mechanics ingame. Encore being one of them >.>
I can't wait to see how epic Gen 6 will be, and the anime is great too, though I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh

Reshiram/Zekrom is outmatched in level when you fight Ghetsis.

Game was fun, but lately I have been having a hard time playing Pokemon games, they just seem to bore me now. Pokemon BW was good, haven't touched it since late March though.

I don't know why they bore me nowadays. I used to buy all 3 versions and replay them to death. I might just be getting tired of the formula, or maybe EV/IV training got me so bored of the game I can't play it anymore. Which is optional, but my OCD makes me have to do it.

Gen II 4 lyfe. Crystal especially, since it introduced the character sex choice and still had everything from Gold and Silver (and then some). HeartGold and SoulSilver would have topped it if they kept Kris as the female character.

Black and White is nice, but some of the new Pokémon are odd and N's lame speech at the end was just more comical than "aww look he's changed and stuff how nice".

That, and I ended up not bothering to finish the game until a good couple of weeks after it came out in English (after my own brother had beat his own copy that he got on the English release date).
