Cookie's Poll #1

What's up guys, so I'm new here, but I wanted to continue a tradition, so to speak, that I have kept for a while with my friends. Once a week or twice a week I will post up a poll with a several cards.

The cards will be of a central theme, your job is just to pick one. I like to see how duelists consider a format given the cards in a certain poll, its my way to inform myself.

Some of the choices may not be the best, but that's what I could think of, however feel free to PM me an alternative, I'd happily check out what I missed out.

Nice card choices

I like D. Prison, Compulse comes in at a close second. Many cards have the ability to negate destruction (Stardust,etc.). These two cards bypass that by either Banishing or Bouncing the card. Compulse is much more versatile though, and can be activated almost anytime (highly chainable), D. Prison can only be activate in response to an attack. I prefer to Banish the card (cost free) as opposed to bouncing though, that is why I chose D. Prison.

Yea definetly, I knew someone or another would pick that, its a hot card right now, and im definite its gonna stay that way for a while.

They should make a card where its like D. Prison and Mirror Force combined. The description would go something like this: When an opponent's monster declares an attack, pay 2000 life points to Remove from play all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls. Nothing that good can come with no price. Even though 2000 life points is a little bit compared to what your opponent would be loosing. Such a card would most likely be on the ban list though:P

I personally have always had a personal thing for Mirror Force like most veteran players, but threatening roar is really special to me because it's actually one of my signature cards. I try to play it all the time in my side but a lot of the competitive decks I've played at events have been skewed away from that in the past two years. Waboku is also one of my favorite cards for being that one Gb card people always are so reluctant and back and forth on. The rest are explanatory, but I did use compulsory before like 99% of all the people back during troop dupe scoop format I believe in 07

EDIT: forgot to mention I like the fun side of this discussion but I don't think you can ask someone for a favorite cards while comparing apples to oranges, yes these traps are defensive but have completely different functions. Make an new poll comparing between two cards. Better imo. Like favorite draw card for instance.

personally i prefer compulsory w/ dprison in second. compulsory does the job of book of moon as far as stopping a synchro from ocurring AND it can b used for offense (clearing opponents monsters for a big play) or defense (bouncing an attacking monster or bouncing ur own to save it from another card such as dark hole, mirror force, dprison, torrential etc.)compulsory can also b activated during any phase so u can easily take ur opponent by surprise.

Mirror force < Starlight road (Who ever has 1 atk position monster on the field pfft)
D Prison < Imperial Iron Wall ( ^^ Perfect Side )
Scrap-Iron ScareCrow < Counter traps like 7 tools or bribe or infernity barrier
Compulsory < Counter traps like 7 tools or bribe or infernity barrier
Same with the rest of them, I just like having a backrow of counters ^^
