Does it activate when sent to the graveyard while face-down?

Reborn Tengu says no but I can't find a definitive ruling. And no, this isn't one of those questions asking about it being attacked while face-down, I'm not an idiot.

Yes it will activate if sent to the graveyard while facedown.

Is there a reason or is it 'just because'? Maybe a bad translation.

only those whose trigger is "when this card is removed from/leaves the field:"
wouldn't activate when they leave the field while face-down.
see, absolute zero, or FL.Light.
Reborn Tengu is a TCG exclusive card, there's obviously no misstranslation there.
