Solved Tyrant's Temper.

Post  Malicious 2011-07-28, 12:38

For those who aren't familiar...
Tyrant's Temper: "Tribute 1 monster to activate this card. All face-up monsters on the field that you own are unaffected by other trap cards."
click spoiler to see all the cards I mention.

So for clarification, If I gain control of my opponents monster(s) while Tyrant's Temper is on the field, would those monsters be effected by traps? I think they would be effected but I want to know for sure. What if my opponent controls one of my monsters while i have Tyrant's temper up?

Another question on top of that. What if I use Battle of the Elements or Rivalry of Warlords while I have control of my opponents monsters/some of my own and Tyrant's Temper is on my side of the field?

Now just to get a clear ruling on all of this, lets pretend I have two earth/rock monsters and one wind/winged-beast monster. I got the wind monster from my opponent's graveyard. Would I have to get rid of any of my monsters on my side of the field if Rivalry of Warlords and/or Battle of the Elements is activated? Or what if I had control of two of my opponents monsters and one was earth/rock and the other was light/fairy?

Spoiler:

The trap card specifically says monsters that "you own" and not monster "you control". So even if the control of your monster switches to the opponent, that monster is still unaffected by other Trap Cards

Rivalry of Warlords/Battle of the Elements places a condition on the field so that neither player can control monsters of different Type/Attribute. If you control multiple monsters while you have Tyrant's Temper active and you activate Rivalry of Warlords, you still must send monsters to the Graveyard until you only control one Type of Monster. In the same scenario, if you take control of your opponent's monster that is not of the same type as your monster, it is automatically destroyed by the condition placed by Rivalry of Warlords.

Again, you will apply Rivalry of Warlords/Battle of the Elements normally as if Tyrant's Temper doesn't exist. You must choose if you want to keep Earth/Rock or Wind/Winged-Beast, same thing if those monsters are originally owned by your opponent.
