Dueling Network Update (Xyz 's ::O)

Great job on the update, guys, you can expect me donating at some point in the future, too.

Aww, and I'm still stuck up north for another 3 days...
Well, once i get back I'll be having fun with this

Man, you guys are right, the server is packed! That's a real shame...I suppose the limit will go back up at some point soon, though, so there's really nothing to worry about.

Thank you for the update BLS, pikachu, and others who contributed. Can we please get an extension to the user capacity now?

Before the server limit reduction (to 4000) the limit used to be 5000. But I watched the online user list occasionally and it NEVER peaked when it was 5000. But it was always a couple hundred over 4000. Now that it IS 4000. You and a few hundred users will be upset. Hopefully, it can be increased at some point.

If you REALLY want on, go to the opening page and keep trying to sign in until it finally lets you in. (I noticed the online users fluctuate between 3,999 and 4,000. So you will have 1 second or a fraction of a second to get in)

Lol if they don't complain about one thing its something else. You wanted Xyz for MONTHS now you have them. Don't be mad because you have to deal with the repercussions. Just wait till the Xyz hype goes down then sign on. They aren't going anywhere unless stated otherwise.

Patience reward those greatly who has it.

lolz how many times the server has been packed today. Guess xyz is really that popular. U guys are gonna have to get a better server soon to accomidate the masses of people.

To all people that couldn't log in because the server rejected you and you keep hearing the old song, clear your browser cache. It worked for me when I did it.

Loving the xyz monsters so far. I'm also loving the customization options for the card backs. keep up the good work BLS.

Just some quick review of Xyz monsters and overlay system:
It could be good to be able to send them to the grave without having to send the materials in the grave first, just to save time (well, no big deal)
And maybe, for the future, it could be good to be able to summon Xyz Materials back face-up on the field (we never know what Konami has in mind....)

Nevertheless, good job on putting those powerhouses in the game

Everything looks great so far. Good work to everybody involved.

Minor suggestion, tho. If you're going to keep the server limit at 4k, you could increase donations by having subscriptions to the DN service, so that if people donate a small amount monthly, their accounts are exempt from the server limit. Maybe some other perks, too.
I don't know how easy that would be to implement, but something to think about.

Bad idea to maximum limit, i no play nothing in the day ._.

Although it would be ideal to have subscriptions help pay for server costs. We do not want to force users to give us money by having them subscribe.

That is not the point of the service we provide. We would prefer donations be as they are, donations. Dueling Network will be always be free.

Perhaps "subscription" was a bad term, but giving perks to people who donate is still viable.

Ah sorry I see what you are saying. It could be an option down the track.

I believe that if the Subscription thing would be accepted than Konami would have legal rights to sue DN for making profit so that isn't going to happen, I myself would donate however I'm still minor

Dueling Networks gonna get taken down again because of this button. You're not allowed to receive donations from a site based off of a game that isn't yours regardless of who made said it. You guys should remove it before anything bad happens..

No there is a difference in a donation and having to pay, donation isn't making profit out of it at least not in legal terms

what if the perk had nothing to with Yugioh? but something super cool

ive seen other websites with donation buttons and they haven't been taken down

Although the maximum user limit poses a problem, I'd rather be on a limited DN than a crash-prone DN.

Great work for the addition of Xyz, DN staff.

In my mind, giving you guys $10 is like buying two packs of cards, and pulling every single card in the game.

The only other mechanic that still needs to be put in are the S/T placements from the deck and graveyard for Crystal Beasts.....

Trying to get into the server at this moment is a matter of hoping that you login just as the 4000th person logs off.

Why not just summon it to a monster zone and then move it? The crystal beast mechanic isn't perfect, but unlike xyz it is actually possible, although cumbersome to do.

I see it more like entering a locals/get-together where they supply you with rulings, players, and all the cards you could ever want.

But the new intro is super duper annoying, I love the song itself, but it's REALLY annoying to hear the first few seconds of it over and over again when you're trying to get in, which you never do due to the new server limit.

Honestly, who thought hard japanese rock would be a good intro for a mostly quiet, and casual game? x.X

Also, I'm never logging out of DN now. Whenever I go to dinner, or watch an anime, I'm just gonna go watch a duel and stay there. The game doesn't boot you out for inactivity there <3

And that's not hard to do in a well made build.

For Special Summoning a CB to S/T zone when the field is full, send 1 monster to the grave, get the CB from deck and move it to S/T, then bring back that sent monster. (Unless there's space in your S/T zone for 2 more cards, in which you move 1 to S/T, special Summon CB, transfer to S/T, then move the transferred monster back to where it was)

We know this. But its still ridiculous no matter how you look at it.....

But yeah, it's really not that hard to get into DN. Just keep on refreshing and you'll be logged in no time. ))))

How about a volume slider? I find that the default sound is wayy to loud at even my lowest sound setting.

Skip the intro, then mute it. That way, it'll be muted until you get past the opening page. If it's full, but you want to do the refreshing process, it will still be muted. (Or you can mute your computer beforehand)

I just wanted to join to tell you guys thanks for the awesome work on the D Net site.
