Pseudo Monster Traps
Ok, thanks to the new card game thread in here, I've thought of a fun little idea.
There needs to be a new type of monster archetype. A cooler one.
This will be awesome.
They are Trap Monsters - Like Zoma and the Tikis, but different. They are different takes on current cards but weaker and are all 4 stars or lower, but with certain effects. Think Gemeni Traps basically.
Pseudo Monster - Dark Magician
Trap, Continuous
After activation, you can special summon this card in attack mode. (Spellcaster/DARK/4/2000ATK/1600DEF) This is treated as an effect monster card. Once per turn, you can send this faceup card to your graveyard to special summon one "Dark Magician" from your hand, deck, or graveyard. It cannot attack the turn it is summoned. Additionally, once per turn you can discard one spell card for this card to change its name to "Dark Magician". Durring the end phase in which this card's name was changed, it is destroyed.
Pseudo Monster - Dark Magician Girl
Trap, Continuous
After activation, you can special summon this card in attack mode. (Spellcaster/DARK/3/1400ATK/1000DEF) This is treated as an effect monster card. Once per turn, you can send this faceup card to your graveyard to special summon one "Dark Magician Girl" from your hand, deck, or graveyard. It cannot attack the turn it is summoned. Additionally, once per turn you can discard one spell card for this card to change its name to "Dark Magician Girl". Durring the end phase in which this card's name was changed, it is destroyed.
Pseudo Monster - Blue-Eyes White Dragon
Trap, Continuous
After activation, you can special summon this card in attack mode. (Dragon/LIGHT/4/2200ATK/1900DEF) This is treated as an effect monster card. Once per turn, you can send this faceup card to your graveyard to special summon one "Blue-eyes White Dragon" from your hand, deck, or graveyard. It cannot attack the turn it is summoned. Additionally, once per turn you can discard one spell card for this card to change its name to "Blue-eyes White Dragon". Durring the end phase in which this card's name was changed, it is destroyed.
Pseudo Monster - Winged Dragon of Ra
Trap, continuous
After activation, you can special summon this card in attack mode.
(Divine-Beast/LIGHT/4/?ATK/?DEF) This is treated as an effect monster card.
Once per turn, you can discard 2 or more level 4 or lower monsters from your hand to have this card gain attack equal to their level x 100. If this card is removed from the field, except by your own effects, you can summon Divine-Beast tokens based on how many monsters you discarded to increase its ATK. These tokens can only be used to tribute summon "Winged Dragon of Ra".
Pseudo Monster - Stardust Dragon
Trap, continuous
After activation, you can special summon this card in attack mode.
(Dragon/WIND/4/2000/1300). This card is treated as an effect monster card.
Once per turn, you can destroy this card to negate the activation of a spell or trap, and then return this card to your hand. If this card is destroyed, except by your own effects, you can special summon one level 4 or lower "tuner" monster from your deck in defense mode. It cannot be used as a Synchro material monster this turn.
Any ideas? I think these would be fun.
